jonesboro,ga-Roland I somewhat agree that the honeymoon is over but, it really doesn’t have to be. Not yet (because it is inevitable), and not with this president. I say that because, we (Americans) are still realing over the Bush years. We’re still suffering from the effects of that horror. Though now Obama’s at the wheel, in the back of our minds we know that Prez Obama is on latrene duty. He’s on clean up mode so we’ve given him some slack.

I believe that though his popularity is fading, if he were to stand up, dust himself off, and “LEAD!” as strongly as he campaigned, we, as a country would be with him as we were during the election. Naturally there will be naysayers as there were when he was running for the presidency. But like then, the country was unaffected by the haters. We were hungry as we are now, to hear from him. We were hungry and hanging on to his every word. “WE BELEIVED, AND WE HOPED!”

There is no need for President Obama to drop that ball now. After the bush years, I hope we, as a country, will never allow another administration, including this one, to be unaccountable for its actions again. Therefore, I beleive that if President Obama stands firm on his campaign promises of, healthcare for all, repealing the Bush tax cuts for the rich, building up infrastructures and creating more jobs, etc, etc, we would stand again with him. We are still hungry for real change desspite what the tea partyers, and the hate moungers say.

I still believe that the majority of Americans; black, white, blue or purple support President Obama. We are just getting impatient with all of this bi-partisian nonsense. He gave it a valiant attempt to gain their support but they insist on obstructing instead of comprimising so the president should move on and get it done without them.
