Have you gotten a second diagnoses to confirm the cancer? The next thing I would recommend is that you speak to the social worker at the hospital where your cancer was diagnosed. He/she may be able to work on your behalf to get some treatment resources for you. These are the people you're most likely to encounter in face-to-face contact, because they'll most likely work in jobs where they serve the public.
