After a year of furious debate and conjecture, President Obama’s proposed overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system passed the House of Representatives last night without one Republican vote. While he still has to sign the bill into law and even more steps ahead until Americans see any change, this is a major victory for President Obama who made healthcare one of the cornerstones of his administration.
