Roland,
We watch you every Sunday and we know you are able to reach those who are empowered. They need to know that they blew this one. We empowered them to do what we needed done, i.e., job creation. We gave all of the political power (both houses and the WH)to the Dems and they still can't get it done. They should have gotten regulation in place so that they could not be blocked from doing the will of the people. Now they have been rendered ineffective. They are history. Now we have to fend for ourselves and we are going to support those that support us and are able to make it happen. Dems will get nothing passed from now on.

There won't be any jobs in the communities because that was not the plan. The WH set up the stimulus so that it basically cemented and rewarded Dem projects and supporters. Only 16-20% of the stimulus money has hit the street so far. The rest is due to hit in 2010 and 2011 close to the 2012 election. This was done by design. This administration isn't focused on the economy at all in this instance. Its the WH. The sooner we all see this the better. By the way the middle class people I know wouldn't depend on Biden to run a bakery. No disrespect intended but Biden is no Greenspan.

Obama went to NJ 5 times. He knew how important that election was. The tide is turning. This is a huge deal you better believe. It already has backed off support for the HC in congress. Maybe now they can focus more on creating an environment where companies want to create jobs. Take their time on HC and make sure its done right.

And money and time has gone to grass roots organizations. Take ACORN for example. What do they do? Commit fraud all day long. That's just plane awful. If we want to change things in our communities then we have to change the way we think. We have to do business differently than what we have been doing.

I agree lets get some stuff done. The year has gotten away from us. Job Creation was overshadowed by Shovel Ready Projects which same equated with work already in the pipes. So the job creation has not reached us here in the communities (on the ground) in fact if folks stop flying over and come down sometimes (grass roots) they will see that the middle man is still able to block initiatives aimed at economic empowerment, job creation and homeownership for the poor. What a waste of money pooring out from capitol hill. It has never reached the poor and it never will until politicians stop fyling over and come down in the communities and forge true partnerships with grass roots organizations. Home ownership for public housing residents can be achieved by enforcing the laws that are already on the books for them and allowing strong leadership such as Bertha Gilkey-Bonds (314 389-2411)to implement these initiatives. Anytime you can withstand a 37 count indictment for helping the poor and come out not guilty, you are a true soldier for your cause. The housing authorities who actually front for developers should not be allowed to reap all the benefit all the time. Middle class folks have Joe Biden who do the poor have.

WOW! It has been one year hasn't it? Happy Anniversary President Obama!

P.S.
I agree with Ms. Pugh. I think the Republican wins are a bit premature too. Personally, I don't care for all this partisan politics, get some stuff done that affects all of us!

This past year feels to me, as though it has only been six months. That's usually the way it feels when there is so much to do, but so little time to do it.

Happy Anniversary, President Obama. I support you all the way.

I think that the republicans wins are
a little bit premature. We have our
first African American president.
So who cares that the party won two
little governships.
