PRESIDENT OBAMA GOES VIRTUAL

Today, at roughly 11:30 am (ET), the most powerful man in the world will be logging on to answer YOUR questions.

No, not Diddy. We’re talking about President Barack Obama — the most plugged-in president ever — will be answering questions about the economy LIVE at whitehouse.gov/openforquestions, where at last count, there are over 100,000 questions already.

If you saw his prime-time press conference earlier this week, Pres. Obama has a soft spot for the little people like you and I. Seriously, when was the last time you saw a president take a question from Ebony Magazine? How about never?

This seems to be just one more example of how Obama is changing the face of the presidency — not to mention staying in touch with the millions of young folks who helped put him in office by hitting up his website.

The time to submit questions is basically over, but if you could submit a question for the President of the United States, what would it be?

THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MICHELLE

People aren’t just in love with President Barack Obama; they’re also smitten by his wife and First Lady Michelle.  From her Vogue cover to her own media mayhem coverage, Michelle Obama is like a walking Twitter—she’s everywhere.

PRESIDENT OBAMA’S SECOND PRESS CONFERENCE

“This is a big ocean liner. It’s not a speedboat. It doesn’t turn around immediately. But we’re in a better — better place because of the decisions that we made.” – Pres. Obama on the future of America at his second press conference

The President’s second press conference could be summed in two words, have patience.  Whoever assumed that President Obama would jump into the White House and immediately turn things around—shame on you.  When most individuals can’t fix their bad credit in 65 days, why would you expect one man to fix America in that same amount of time?

Give the man a break and time.

Some Americans, including much of the Press, are quick to charge people with the crime of moving too slow or too little.  (Did you see the Presidents response to CNN’s Ed Henry? See video at 34:44).  By doing this, we take too much time trying to fault someone for the issues that we’ve all created instead of supporting the people trying to fix them.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and America won’t recover in one either, no matter how late the President stays up.

What do you think?  Are we expecting Obama to pull a miracle out of his hat?  Tell us here.

WHITE HOUSE SWAGGER: The President Backhands Cheney on TV

Being Dick Cheney just got a little bit harder yesterday.

If you recall, former Vice President Cheney was on CNN last week saying that some of President Obama’s decisions “will raise the risk to the American people of another attack.”

Thus far, President Obama had been fairly silent on Cheney’s high-profile criticism, but the gloves came off last night when he sat down for his 60 Minutes interview. When asked about Cheney’s statements — the president said simply: “I fundamentally disagree with Dick Cheney — not surprisingly.”

Oh, but it didn’t stop there. Obama dedicates almost three minutes to tearing down Cheney’s diss, and shows once again, why most of the country voted for him — he simply does not back down.

PRES. OBAMA SIGNS POST-PRESIDENT BOOK DEAL

Talk about planning for your future–President Obama recently disclosed that he reached an agreement weeks before inauguration to write a youth-oriented version of his published memoir and a nonfiction book after he leaves office.

The best selling author, who received royalties of $2.5 million last year, first released Dreams From My Father and The Audacity of Hope.  With his two additional books not only is he set to make major money he’s also in the front seat of telling his story, his way.

What’s great about this?  The first African American President will be writing history from a Black man, husband and father’s perspective.

You may not agree with his every policy, but you definitely have to respect the man’s hustle.

What do you think?  Are you ready for the next Obama book?  Tell us here.
