HATE WATCH: DICK CHENEY’S DAUGHTER VS. PRES. OBAMA

“You know, President Obama has a lot of rhetoric about support for American military families, support for our men and women who are fighting for us overseas. But if he really cares about them, then he wouldn’t be making such an effort to release photos that show them in a negative light,” Liz Cheney stated during a recent interview with CNN.
As if hearing former Vice President Dick Cheney go on and on about his dissatisfaction with President Obama’s work wasn’t enough, his daughter Liz Cheney has stepped up to the attack plate and dished out her own two cents. She’s a little upset with the Obama administration for releasing images of alleged abuse at U.S. prisons in Iraq during the Bush administration.
Our long-standing position has been that America doesn’t torture and it seems that the President is attempting to right our wrongs.
What do you think? Is torture OK if we are getting information as a result?

Torture their backside!!! What they experienced is nothing care to 9/11. They should be happy that is wasn’t in Iran, Saudia Arabia or Iraq under Saddam.
Spanking was considered discipline then, today it is abuse.
I guess when police questioned a suspect for more than an hour or so it can be consdidered as torture.
I know,I don’t have control over stupid people.Liz Cheney,to me don’t have no good reason to be mad at Barack.Barack has been the greatest President this country has ever had in this world.Barack has created a lot of positiveity that other Presidents didn’t do.Liz Cheney is just mad, because she wants this country to be messed up like it always been, plus she’s mad because her father don’t have brains and is not good looking like Barack.
Liz Cheney needs to be a pig farmer like what they had Mrs.I love NewYork doing on VH1.Here’s another good job for Liz working at a Burger King, cleaning up restrooms for a living,This is something Liz would be steaming mad about if she had these jobs to do.Liz Cheney haven’t done nothing positive.
Liz Cheney should haved lived a poor person life to see how that is,if she call herself trying to get mad at something.
Torture is not ok. We can’t expect to go into other countries imposing democracy and using torture its a oxymoronic idea, acutally. It makes us no better than the forces we are fighting against, it just proves and solitifies their beliefs about who we are. Government agencies have already proven torture does not provide us with reliable information. People will say whatever you want to hear if it keeps them out of harms way.
Haven’t we been accused of torturing innocent people? Weren’t they released? Innocent because they held no information, nonexistent acutally; and we gained absolutely nothing!
Didn’t we sign the Geneva Convention? We have a responsibility to uphold the terms. Why do we believe we are above following the terms of this treaty, is it because we are American?
Is torture OK if we are getting information as a result?
Let me ask you TV One, is it ok if American soldiers or civilians are being tortured by other countries, if they are getting information as a result?
You hit the nail on the head, Mar. Not only is “enhanced interrogation” NOT ok, experts have testified that the information it yields is usually unreliable. Wow! A country founded on principles of liberty and justice for all actively debating torture. And let’s not be fooled. Again. This is less about national security than propping up Richard Cheney’s lies. And if Liz Cheney has so much love for the troops President Obama is now “shaming” according to her, why didn’t she speak up when her father’s cohorts at KBR were electrocuting them.
Peace!
Liz Cheney and Saraha Palin, these two women needs a taste of hard times, cause they have had it to easy.
Liz Cheney, and Sarah Palin are spoiled brat women.I mispelled Sarah just up and above.
Sarah Palin should be a pig farmer as well,Liz and Sarah should have jobs where they pick up trash of the streets for a living.
Now,here is another thing both Liz and Sarah should have exsperince is being 2 homeless women,no these two women are not good role models.
Chaz would have been a great, and better govenor than that Sarah Palin of Alaska.
I’m appalled that we can close our eyes to the reality of war because we have an African American President.
This is exactly why the rest of the world looks at us with such disdain, becuase we think we’re so morally superior and can’t handle the reality of war against an enemy that will not think twice but to kill you, your family and all of America. We concern ourselves with an enemy being waterboarded, more than an American citizen or family member that would receive far worst treatment if captured by them.
Keep in mind, Al Qaeda is not a country like Japen was when waterboarding and the Geneva Convention prohibited such acts. Get a revelation people! Our Country is at war against an enemy that loves to see our divisiveness.
Stop the Bush hating and let’s try to figure out how to survive in a 21st Century World that is looking to destroy us.
Karl, the problem with that analogy is everyone is Al Queda, when many people that have suffured ast th hands of our torture had nothing to do with this terrorist group. You stated we are at war, whom every we are at war against the Geneva Convention covers prisoners of said war along with civilians and the wounded. We as Americans have a responsibility, if we go into countries with the intent to instill democracy don’t we need to show some resolve ?
The world shows us disdain because they see us as hypocrites, we speak of democracy, justice and liberation but yet we torture! Our country was founded on these aspect of morality but we are not following them.
Also again, government agencies have already stated torture deems information we receive as unreliable.
I’m just wondering if the roles were reversed and Americans were being tortured for “information” would we be having this discussion?
The debate is wheather it’s torture or not. Our own troops go through waterboarding.
We need to stop thinking we’re so superior than other nations with respect to extracting information that will save American lives! It is about saving lives!!! War is not pretty, and these prisoners have been treated better than many of our poor folks living on the streets of America!
We probably would’nt be having this dicussion if the ACLU and others did’nt want to weaken American Policy and give in to every and all liberalites. There’s just certain information that we should’nt be privy to, because we just can handle it…and the enemies of the United States know that! For that reason they exploit that weakness in us as a Country.
Killing, death and torture is something most people can’t handle, why do you think other Countrys don’t flash it across there television screens.
This is interesting,Mar thinks that everybody in this world,I guess is A ALQAEDA.No,Chaz don’t belong in that catogory and Prsident Barack don’t either.
President Barack don’t belong in that Alqaeda catogory either, that’s what I type just now.
Another thing I have not close my eyes to the war,I believe it’s going to end sooner or later,it’s just taking along time.
No, Chastity I was trying to state everyone in these countries is NOT part of Al Queda, it was a mis-type on my part. If you read what I was trying to say you would have caught it. My main point was everyone is not connected to or have information about terrorist groups so the use of torture would be irrelevant!
I,understand what you are talking about Mar.
