THE BIG STORY: CLINTON DEFENDS OBAMA

In a recent fundraising email on behalf of congressional Democrats, former president Bill Clinton defended President Obama and his attempt to push healthcare reform through. The healthcare debate has been yet another tug-of-war; while many believe it’s a necessary step to ensuring healthier Americans, everyone else is afraid of the price tag that comes with it.

In the email, Clinton pointed blame at the Republicans for stalling the process, stating “…Simply put, they’re at it again.”  What is he referring to?  If you remember correctly, both Bill and Hillary led an unsuccessful campaign to reform healthcare in the ‘90s. Both Clintons have had their anti-Obama moments but universal healthcare is one they all agree on.

Do you think the Clintons are only supporting Obama because of healthcare or do you think they are truly onboard the Obama express?  Tell us here.

I believe that former Senator Clinton is onboard with the health care reform platform. When she and then President Clinton were in office, I accidentally bumped into a news conference in the Senate Dirksen building in Wash., D.C. where she was holding a press conference on health care. It was one of the issues that she championed while in office, but as we can tell, it didn’t get much traction then and it appears to have a rocky road today.

The R’s have asked the question, “what’s the hurry?” The response is that people are literally dying in this country because of the lack of a quality health care system. Try going to see a doctor on a regular without insurance and see what happens? Black men are ot have regular screening performed because their employers don’t provide health insurance and many cansnot afford private insurance!~

This we know, the current system doesn’t work for every American, but the one we don’t know is yet to be determined!

Health care need not be politicized and/or polarized!~

….sorry for the typos..

paragraph 2 line 4…Black men are “not having”..

paragraph 2 line 5….can not afford private insurance.

I believe that they are on board with Obama. They know what it was like when they were in the White House. If we don’t do something fast there will be more bodies than there are burial ground because we are dying by the thousand because we don’t have decent health insurance.

The Republicans fought unemployment benfits, Social security, Welfare and Medicare. They were on the losing of those programs and predict history will repeat itself.

If you do not currently have health care then educate yourself on this issue and speak out about it. Because if you want this to pass then other voices need to be heard besides the republican spin machine.

but what is wrong with reading tis bill and nowing what it wil do. has prez obama read this bill has all the dems read it. i mean if you sign a contract you can not ues the i did not knowwhat i was signing excuse to back out. take the time to read it if its good go with if it is not fix it till it is.

I.B.Blackman, I agree 100% with we need to educate ourselves with health care, because it is necessary that people are covered under good Health Insurance ,especially on your jobs. Me personally I will not work for no wicked employer that will not provide me with Life and Health coverage.

Thats what you work for fringe benefits you are your greatest asset and should be appreciated and not depreciated.

I would take a cut in salary Job to support myself, but NOT without health coverage.

I believe the Clintons are on board with healthcare. I think the biggest problem is people don’t understand there current healthcare benefits. When worked in the medical field I found it astounding how many people did not understand there own healthcare plans. All they did was go to the doctor and if there was a problem they call the company for explanations. They never read the information. So I am not surprised that people are screaming about changes because they think they have a good deal and they have no idea it is a problem until they get the bill or cannot get the serviced they requested. The president should pass it and forget about the screamers. They will get over it.

@hopi2lotus you are so right

I believe they are truly on board with Pres.Obama
