The First 100 Days: Obama’s Biggest Moments #5

We’re still pinching ourselves.  Barack Obama really is the President of the United States and this week marks his hundred days in office.  Here at The Daily Obama, we’ve been following him and his family for every big and swagger-filled moment!  To commemorate Pres. Obama’s 100 days in office, we’re highlighting his biggest FIVE moments!

Coming in at #5: The Obama Media Coverage!

One thing is for certain, the history books will never have a problem telling the story of the first Black president, his family and his term in office.  The Obamas have been featured on almost every television channel, newspaper, magazine, radio station, t-shirt and any other memorabilia item that you could think of.

Some of our favorite media coverage moments are First Lady Michelle’s cover of Vogue, her historic O cover with Oprah, her Mother’s Day Essence cover that she shared with First Grandmother, Marian and Michelle’s right-to-bear arms offical First Lady Photo.  Barack has been just as busy but he’s still cool enough to make history as the first sitting president to visit a late-night show and shoot the breeze with Leno.  Even cooler—his chest-baring Washingtonian cover!  It’s gets no better than that.

What do you think of the Obama media coverage and how would you grade the Obama’s handling of the spotlight?  Tell us here.

Media coverage – Bias, except for Lou Dobbs on CNN (the most objective coverage)

Handling of the spotlight — A+++. He knows how to use the media. Can’t fault him on this one.

With all that he have on his plate I would give our President A+

I give him a C plus. We still don’t know just how good he is. I really think he will grow into the job if he chooses to. He will eventually have to get rid of some of his Chicago clique who are not ready for prime time. As long as the media contiues to coddle him & the Black community contiues to be satisfied with getting nothing more out of this that him being a symbolic figure then we won’t know. He simply has not been tested.
Ready day one? He definitely was not ready “day one”, but he has enormous potential. In the end he will be only as good as he is made to be & right now I don’t see anyone in the community willing to challenge him to be all that he can be.
It would be sad if his victory was really our lost.

I’m like Roland Martin the last time I checked the presidency is 4 years not 100 days. Why didn’t these people put crooked Bush on the spot after 100 days and maybe we as a US would not be in the position we’re in. Everyone wants to blame President Obama for this mess and please check it out they refuse to acknowledge “President”. As for the first 100 President Obama said prior to taking office it going to be a difficult task but we can do it.

Far as I’m concerned he gets an A also because he inherited a 16 year mess from last 2 presidents. Give me a break, it’s so unfair when the last president couldn’t fix it 8 years what we want done in 100 days. No WAY!!
