Thank God….Not only for me, African Americans, and the military. We, as soldiers, were looking for change, and we have found Barack with the Lord’s help!!!!!!
I am so glad Obama won . Not only cause he is black but because he is honest. We need some one who knows hes not perfect but he will try. I hope God keep blessing him and his family.
Thank you TV ONE for EXCELLENT election night coverage. This is actually the first time I really tuned in and it was a treat. I will be sure to stay tuned more often.
GO OBAMA!!!!
THANK YOU, JESUS, THANK YOU, JESUS
My God is going to seperate the right from the wrong, someday, someday. He is going to move all over this land, nobody but the righteous will be able to stand, my God is going to seperate the right from the wrong some day.
Just goes to show that IN LIFE you can achieve. YOU JUST have to BELIEVE…….
All I can say is I’m Black and I’m Proud, Amen! to his courage to keep in the race to become the first African American President #44 of the United States of America.
Barack, God Bless you. I knew you could do it. I asked my 66yo father what does this mean to you, a black man being President. My dad was so overcome with emotion, all he could do was cry. He is from B’ham, AL, where everything was segregated at the time of him growing up. He is so happy and proud, and he just wished Martin Luther King Jr. could have been here to witness this moment. I am so overcome with emotion, not only are you a man who is highly qualified for the position, but finally we have someone that looks just like me. I can go on and on, and I’m typing this through tears right now; but my 12yo and 9yo son’s were so happy they were both shaking. I’m sorry to hear about your Grandmother and wished she could have seen this moment, but she is in a better place looking down on you. Congrats and may God continue to bless you.
I’m 48 and I remeber all of the eents of the 60’s and it was really bad. It made me grow up always watching my back. I went to an all black priate school because America at the time had this impression that people of color could not learn as well as whites. Well we proved that wrong as many of the graduates have had successful careers. Myself, President\CEO of my own Corp. I was the one of the children of MLK and JFK. We have finally come to the point in America were we can accept people as they are no matter what creed, religion, sexual preferences or any other prejudice. I finally feel like someone has finally felt what I have had to live with since 1960. Finally …. the nightmare is over. I can rest in peace now…
First I would like to say congratulations to OUR President, Barack Obama and First lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
I’m nineteen years of age and this is my first time voting and I feel so proud to be part of this historical moment!!!!
Truth be told this was the easiest part, getting Obama elected. Now we as a human race SHOULD and I say “should” look beyond black and white, male and female, republican and democrat, and come together as Americans. Change begins with us, every plan Obama has set out will not come over night and the government can’t solve everything so therefore we have to look beyond all the negative and stay positive as much as possible and work together because YES WE CAN & YES WE WILL J
Remember to keep God first, with Him all things are possible!
I love OUR PRESIDENT;
YES WE CAN!!!
Peace, Love & Faith
Felicia
God’s WORD shall not come back to HIM void!! Yes, WE ALL DID IT!! Empowerment and hope…. God cover the Obama/Biden family structure as they lead us to greater depths unimagined by any of us. WHEW!!! I’m grateful that my 77 yr old mother is still alive to witness this!!
um how were black people invisable??
Congratulation Barack Obama’s and May the lord bless u and ur family.
Praise GOD!
YES, OBAMA DID!
My name is Leslie and I am a disable mother of four and wife of one. I am sitting in ow and disbilief, not because Barack Obama won, nor was it the race of the winner but the first look at the collective audience that I see when I visit my family, friesnds, and nieghbors. This has always been America to me and now my country mirriors mine real life!
I am not an American, but my heart was overwhelmed with emotion and my eyes filled with tears. To the outside world America’s beacon of light shone brigthly tonitght. The City on HIll reappeared. Not because a black president was elected, but because a Barack Hussein Obama was elected, he was not judged by the color of his skin, but the content of his character. He is not our black President, he is our President Barack Obama
Congrats President Obama and VP Bidon and the families…Let’s start the change…
Thank You Lord Jesus!!!
I am in tears right now. I feel overcome with different emotions. As a young black woman, I have seen and encountered things that would lead me to believe that I would never see a Black President or a President of a minority race. But on to the bigger picture, I completely trust and support Obama and Biden on their policies and I hope and pray for the sake of my young daughter, my family, myself and The USA that this is real change. He has a hell of a lot of work to do after the Bush Administration and I just pray that God watches over Obama and that Obama makes the right decisions when it comes to the overall welfare of the American people. This is real and I cant believe I witnessed it and not only that, I took part in it. I am 20 years old and this was my first time voting. I never believed those commercials that every vote counts until now.I feel so blessed.
This morning, as I entered a building to go to a business meeting, 3 young Black men entered also and waited with me for the elevator to arrive. One was dress in a suit, one casually dress, and the third was a blue collar mechanic. I, a 50 year old female living in the Deep South, was compelled to ask them, “Did you vote today?” All three enthusiastically responded, “Yes!” And the mechanic went on to tell us how he called his employer to tell him that if he had to stand in line all day today and miss work in order to vote, then that was what he would do. I was so proud of them and remembered my grandmother and grandfather who cherished their right to vote. Today’s election of Barack Obama honored my most vivid memory of their opposition to racial discrimination during the 60’s and 70’s–their determination to vote. On the occasion of every election, they would dress in their Sunday best and sit on the front porch of their home to wait for my mother to come and pick them up to go vote. They did not budge until they voted and never missed the opportunity to do so as long as they were able. It is why today, I cannot fathom the idea of being too tired or too busy to vote. The one time I did miss voting, I thought about my grandparents and what they endured, and then promised myself that I would vote just like they did–as long as I am able. Let us not forget where we have come from and what our parents and grandparents have endured “for such a time as this.” I am truly humbled and have sincerely prayed throughout this campaign that God would have his way…and Yes, HE did! Keep praying with me–this is just the beginning, and I can’t believe I lived to see the day!! God Bless the United States of America!
Congratualtions … Barack Obama for winning the election for President of the United States. I am so happy that you won and proud of you.
Michelle that dress was lovely. You inspire me to get out of my rut and take care of me. You let me know that I can be a good person ((and still)) do for others, work ((and)) take care of me. You are truly and inspiration and role model to women. Best way I can put it right now.
Barack, I am going to find a picture tommorow my printer is out of ink right now so I can’t print one from the internet, but I want one tomorrow so I will just have to buy one somewhere. And just like I said put it right beside MLK I may get one of the whole family.
Looking forward to going forward with you in the White House and learning more about what that means.
John Mccain’s speech was so very gracious that is truly commendable and says a lot about who you really are (aside from the competitive hoopla).
It was a really positive and encouraging moment when Barack Obama won. It let me know once again
Yes We Can ((&)) Yes I Can.
Let’s face it, this election is not about who is the MOST qualified. Both candidates are qualified in my opinion to lead the US. John McCain may even be more qualified. However, I feel this election comes down to “which candidate is the BEST FIT” for the Presidential role for the United States in these crucial times. This isn’t about popularity; it’s all about the business at hand. I say it’s about OBAMA
I like to first say thank u to TVONE for you coverage on this historical night, Next CONGRATS to Mr. Obama on his election. Although this is MLK’s dream come to light, we as a people have to make it work. Our parents & grandparents have bleed freedom for years and yet we still are free, President elect said it clearly this is not the victory we are seeking but it is a postive start to a better tomorrow.
I’m 19 years old and I am sorry for ur lost and I know exactly what u are feeling cause I lost my mom in 2006. So keep up the faith and the good work. May the good lord keep u and ur family safe. I am so proud that u are president for the United States of American and Yes we can!!!
Peace and Love
Fr: Monique in Jamaica,Montego Bay
YES, YES, YES, YES, YES, THANK YOU JESUS, THANK YOU LORD FOR GIVING US HOPE, AUDACITY, AND CHANGE!
GOD BLESS YOU PRESIDENT OBAMA!
I am a new, young voter. I love that I was a part of history. I will tell my kids about this day for them to tell their children for generations. However, while we celebrating, dont forget to pray, for him and the people of our country. More problems maybe the horizon. GOD BLESS AMERICA. CONGRATS OBAMA! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
GOD is in control! Today we made history that has to be published in the history books. To make sure that our president stays safe he should use the same type of security as the pope. He rolls around in a bulletproof motorized cart and is safe and is still repected by the public at large and the world.
I knew Barack Obama was going to be the 1st African-American President of the United States when I saw him on a talk show in 2001. He was just a community activist then and I caught the last 5 minutes of the program and knew this man was IT!! I ran downstairs and told my mom “I just saw the man that would be our first black president of the U.S.” and she asked who, I proudly stated “his name is Barack Obama” and she said “What is a Barack Obama?”, I told her this man has the intelligence and grace it is going to take to move EVERYONE in this country forward in a positive way and things are going to change and guess what….tonight my prediction not only came true but history was made and we CHANGED things because we believed in Barack Obama and his abilities!!! Thank you so much to President Barack Obama, his family, his struggles and all who voted to move forward in this beautiful country!!!
Thank you for your conviction integrity, thoughtfulness, faith and spirit. Your work truly begins in the audacity now, because we had the audacity of hope. I did what I could to help and feel totally engaged, however I had to remember where this audacity came from. I released balloons and a prayer after the awesome announcment you won, in memory of all the angels that could not see this day. Best of luck, and god speed.
Thank you,
Sheri
As a young black man growing up in Selma, Alabama, now leaving in NYC for the last seven years, today is the most emotional day of my life. Not because a African American has been elected to as President. Not because history has been made. Not because this is the beginning of a change in times but because so many people died during the 1960’s and 1970’s for the opportunity that we now have. Many of my family members and friends family, marched across the Edmond Pettus Bridge in my home town to get here today. Today, 11/05/2008, I cry tears of joy for all those in heaven that look down upon the earth and rejoice to see “The Dream” of the most influential black man ever, come to pass.
“God Bless America and President-Elect Obama”

“God bless President-Elect Obama and America”
We are truly free.
Obama DID it and god may watch over you.
America! The Beautiful!
This is a day the Lord has made, and Hallelujah!!
Excellent job, President-elect Obama!!
Winston, Melissa, Saadique and the anonymous, what do you have to say now?!
Winston, you’ve maintained for months that there was no substance to President-elect Obama and that the only quality all blacks could see in him is that he is African-American. If this were so, then he could not have won the support of other races, who also shed tears as he delivered his victory speech. It’s too bad that you couldn’t see what 52% of the American public saw.
As blogging buddy, Brenda W. likes to say, “Peace”, and I hope you can come to terms with and work through whatever it is that blocks your ability to see quality and worthiness in blacks.
This is a great day to be an american, a voter, a veteran, and quite simply to be! Mr. President, congratulations. Please take a moment to breathe and enjoy this victory…ok, time’s up! Time to get to work. As you said, there may be setbacks and false starts. I’ll say, this chioce of America is not a set back or false start. We are embarked on a journey for which we yet know no end. May God bless you, your family, and these United States.
I work on a job that does not have an (african american) in the management department. With my head still high,
NOW HAVE SOMETHING TO SMILE ABOUT….. Thank you Michele Obama and President elect Barack Obama.
I am so excited about this moment in history. I try not to look at the fact that he happens to be an African-American president but I can’t and the reason is because America as a nation has made such a powerful statement to the world. The election of President Obama tells the world that America is a place where you can achieve what you set out to do if you put your mind to it and last night was living proof of it!! Yes we did!!!!
There is hope!!!!!!!!!! God has Blessed America Once again. Yes He did!
I could not be more proud of President Obama than if he was my father, brother, uncle, or son. I praise God for the favor that he has shown upon President Obama and America. God is doing a new thing as he declares in the book of Isaiah. I continue to pray for him and the first family for God’s blessing, protection and favor. The best is yet to come!
I HAVE JUST 3 WORDS!!!
YES WE DID!!!!
i was just crying tears of joy and what upsets me and i will not be negative but i am at work and some whites are just neagtive saying he is not a US citizen, all i have to say is stop fingding excuses and fault and to the negative ones, cough it up cuz we as blacks, semi survived bush two terms so get over it and lets all make america better
My mom used to tell me that I would be the first Black president of the U.S., but I’ll let Obama do his thing. Change is finally here!
November 4, 2008 – “This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us all rejoice and be glad in it”. May God continue to bless and uphold the Obama family and keep them all safe in his humble arms. AMEN!!
prisedent elect obama congradulations on winning the election i konw you will do a good job as president,on a sad note i want you to that you and your family have our deepest sorrows on hearing about your grandmothers death we love you
Yes We Can! and Yes We Did!
This Is “A New Day”!
A change is coming!
Congratulations!!!
Wow! I am in total awe of this MAN. He truly has been walking a destined path. Roland Martin said it best that he is destined to be PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. A Change has come and thank GOD we are here to witness it. I told my 14 & 11 year old children this morning that this a true testiment that anything is possible if you work toward it. They CAN be anything they want to. They will be rewriting the History books because this is history in making.
HELLO THE BARACK FAMILY WE DID IT WITH VOTEING THANK GOD GOD IS REAL HE SHOWS US OF ALL PEOPLE WE GET OUT TO VOTE WE DID IT LET HIM AND HIS FAMILY STAY SAFE BECAUSE THAT MAN BARACK HAS THE FAITH OF A
A MUSTARD SEED YOU SEE THE WAY HE WALKS UP AND DOWN THE STAGE WITH NO FEAR IN HIS EYES OR HIS HEART SO THAT MEADS HE IS IS
A TRUE CHILD OF GOD REAL HE STIL NEEDS TO
PROTECT HIS SELF LIKE THE POPE HE IS POWERFUL AND A BRILLANT MAN THAT HE HE IS AND HIS WIFE A STRONG WOMAN OF FOR OURER PEOPLE THATS OPRAH FOR PUSHSING HIM AND GETTING THE MESSAGE OUT THANK YOU GOD MY GRANDMA IS 85 SHE LIVES TO SHARE THE DREAM OH BOY OH BOY THAKNKS
A MILLON OH GOD TARAT BALTIMORE,MD
I am just thankful this morning for the change that is about to take place for America as a whole. Now we can tell our children you can be whatever you want to be and mean it.
Our children will value the Civil Rights Movement better, but it is our job to educate and teach our children the value of how far we have come. We shall overcome and God is saying we are “Next in Line for a Miracle”. You have kept the faith today is your day…..Mr. President and First Family, take a bow the world is praying for you, while God protects you. We love you.
The emotions are beyond words, but I will say that before this day, I couldn’t say “I’m proud to be an American” without hesitation or second guessing what that really means for someone like me. That’s is why I understood wholeheartedly what Michelle meant when she said that for the first time in her life she was proud of her country.
But now, I don’t feel like a minority, or a second class citizen, and I damn sure don’t feel like 3/5ths of a human being. To take a look at what my people went through from being stolen from their place of origin and brought here to work as slaves, from the 13th Amendement, from Jim Crow, from the fight for civil rights, from desegregation, from affirmitive action all the way to an African-American President, yes I can finally say it without a shadow of doubt….
I’M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!!!!!
It’s A New Day!
Got up this morniing
On the right side of my bed
With all these crazy thoughts
Screaming through my head
I can’t wait to see
What this world holds for me.
Oh, it’s a new day
Oh, it’s a new day
And when I see you
On tv or any place
You are the reason
For the smile on my face
‘Cause you make me feel
All my dreams can be real
Oh, it’s a new day
Oh, it’s a new day
It feels so good to be alive
Even if a little rain should fall
‘Cause every moment
Brings a new surprise to us all
Oh, it’s a new day
Oh, it’s a new day
Oh, it’s a new day
Oh, it’s a new day
Last night as I sat watching the numerous programs concerning this historic election, I knew that it would be an emotional high when the official announcement of Barack Obama’s win was made. I had no idea it would be as emotional as it was for me personally. I remember my grandmother sitting in a chair in April 1968, watching our black and white television. When CBS made the special announcement that her beloved Martin Luther King Jr. was dead at the hands of a white assassin’s bullet, I saw hope drain from her body. My grandmother died in 1999 at the age of 101. She had endured indentured servitude, spent most of her life calling Caucasians Mr. and Ms., worked in the tobacco fields of Florida, served in so many low-level depredating positions in her life, and never learned to read or write. She would never have thought to see this day after living through the turmoil of the 1900’s. She would have been so very proud of how far we have come as a people. I cried for her and so many others who could not be here to see the King dream come to life.
Now… we must take heed to President-Elect Obama’s words as a nation. He has assumed a huge responsibility and has the weight of so much on his shoulders. He cannot bear that burden alone. Each of us – black, white, US born citizen, foreign born, professional, blue collar worker, democrat and republican – must step up to the plate and come out swinging. Before his win last night, our President-Elect stated that he cannot do this alone. We must each take responsibility for our parts in reclaiming our communities, our families, our nation.
God Bless President Elect Barack Obama and his family.Give him the fuel and the strength to walk thru any storm that comes his way.God Bless Barack and God Bless America.
God doesn’t make a mistake. He is tired of the way America is going and He feels that there is a need for a change. Barack Obama is the change agent that this country needs just like Moses and Joshua were the change agents for the children of Israel. Barack and Joe are the change agents for the United states of Amreica.
YES WE CAN, HE SAID…. AND YES WE DID!!! CHANGE IS HERE.
MAY GOD KEEP HIS LOVING ARMS AROUND OUR NEW PRESIDENT ELECT AND SHEILD HIM FROM ALL HARM. YOUR PEOPLE LOVE YOU AND WE ARE SO PROUD. WE HAVE LIVED TO SEE A NEW DAY…. A DAY THAT HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE AND OH WHAT A BLESSED DAY IT IS.
May God Bless Mr.Obama and the entire new first family. I am so very proud of you. There are no words that can truly express my feelings at this time. I am so proud to say that Barack Obama is the president of my country, and Michelle Obama is a beautiful, humble and gracious first lady. They will do our country well. Love You, and may God continue to bless you.
We are so proud to have you as our president. We love you and hope nothing but the best that life has to offer. It’s a bitter sweet moment for our nation. Change is finally here and to stay.
We love you Mr. president and you family.
My 84 year old grandmother got to witness history like she never thought she would in her lifetime. Filled with a house representing 4 generations of her Carter children. We laughed, cried and cracked crab (GUMBO). It was an Obama-nation!
It was something that was destined by God and initiated by God and won by God. A time that Unity came together in a country where there had been so much division among its people. Lets take a look back and see how far we have come. Nelson Mandela had become the President of so Africa after years of slavery and slaughter of the people of Soweto. While still here in United States we were showing how prejusice we really were. Although strives had been made, nothing concrete had been done. I took so much for this country to wake up and realize that we were living a lie when we told people that this was a fair and just country. Our justice system differ on blacks and whites, our communities were classified different, our schools were not given the same rights. our healthcare cost more and we were given less some were nglected to death. We have been robbed for years of justice for all and now we can stand and say we have made a difference in this country. Our work is not over as a people it had just begun.
” Believe yourself and your dreams will come true”. That’s what President Obama did. He was told that he wouldn’t win but guess what. He believed in himself… Yes We Can.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU PREZ.OB AND YOUR FAMILY. I WISH GRANDMA COULD HAVE HELD ON A LITTLE LONGER, BUT FATHER GOD KNOWS WHAT’S BEST.DON’T WORRIED PREZ THEY WERE ALL UP IN THE HEAVENS LOOKING ON THE SIDELINE.SEEING YOU AS OUR 44 PRESIDENT MAKES ME BELIEVE IN ANYTHING.”YES WE DID IT AND WE CAN DO IT.”
Congratulations, I’m still in shock! God bless you and your family. May God lead you during your term in the White House.
Have blacks finally arrived? Okay now that we’ve cast our vote, let us applaud them and give up the encore, this is one of the finest stage plays ever casted family and without script! Yelp… it was all done to tune of impromptu directives. Never forget folks that within the past year, record breaking events have unfolded, and as those events kept pounding away at America’s fabric I am certain many of us began to reason that this was the end for America’s aggressive stature in the world as we presently know it.
It wasn’t until their strategic detours gained it’s momentum as schedule that we lost sight of prophetic fulfillment, and it was through that effort that these people were able to single handedly divert our sights off of the fact that an all powerful person (GOD)was fulfilling his word. And this diversion was done towards the prophetic dismantling of this country as we now presently see it.
Of course we would never want anything to unfold that will truly address our own weak status as Christians thus loosing our salvation. This is one of the main reasons why these people have worked so vigilantly to convince us of our failures as persecuted Christians, while seeking other solutions in building morally good health for ourselves as a people. So artfully we have been persuaded to give up trusting that Christ sacrificed life was for our salvation more so than theirs.
Most of us believe we have a better chance of helping them stabilize America. Or working shoulder to shoulder with what they have built up in this land, than we would ever have trusting that GOD is still looking upon us as a special race… Whom are destined for GLORY! This is an inheritance our ancestors knew full well of unlike now.
A part of Christ body was to be forsaken, we know this by what he said, right when he was about to give up his spirit to GOD. My GOD my GOD why have you forsaken me? It was them he spoke of.
Hebrews 6:4-8 4It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, 6 if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because eo their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
7Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. 8But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.
1 John 2:15-19,26
Do Not Love the World
15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
Warning Against Antichrists
18Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us. 26I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.
Psalms 28:3-9 3 Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts. 4 Repay them for their deeds and for their evil work; repay them for what their hands have done and bring back upon them what they deserve. 5 Since they show no regard for the works of the LORD and what his hands have done, he will tear them down and never build them up again. 6 Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy.
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. 8 The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one. 9 Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever.
Congratulations to to the Obama and Biden Family. I am a black woman who lives in Arkansas. Unlike its reputatation for natural resources and beauty, Arkansas is a heavily discriminatory state that operates by the “Good Old Boy System”. This is so frustrating to those minorities who have been afforded an opportunity to recieve a quality education. Inequality is a reality, but it should not affect the growth of an entire society. Last night for the first time, I felt hope. Traditionally, African-Americans do not place American Flags in the yards, but I had a restored belief that there is even something form me, a 32 year old woman who lives in rural Arkansas, who wants to achieve her success honestly.
I would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to the Obama Family as well the Biden Family. Mr Kennedy one of our former presidents had once said in 1968 that we american can have an african american as president if we all unite together. Well that’s what we did last night and we won. Mr obama I just would like to give you one suggestion which is a very serious one. Before moving into the White house please get rid of the those bad spirits. Not to be funny but Bush reside there before you. Have the White house blessed. That’s all I want to say. Enjoy being out president we are definetly going to enjoy having you. Congratulations once again.
I just looked at ticket prices for the inauguration (parade and ceremony)…
Cheapest tickets are $515…
The first black president, how many of us will be there to see him sworn in?
With tears running down my face
like so many others
I am proud and this is the happiest
moment of my life.
What a truly powerful thing to happen
to the world
and what it says about how far Black
people have come
OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA with an African name
a beautiful highly intelligent Black man
he was created for this place in history
this is no accident.
I never thought I would ever witness this greatness in my life. I’m blessed.
I think of our Black ancestors
the Black slaves that built the white house that will possess these beautiful
Black-skinned people in January 2009
I’m overwhelmed.
I am proud of Obama and his courage and faith to stand up and face the challenge of taking on the country. This history making change should encourage our African American youth and enforce the beleif that you can be anything you want to be. Hopefully this will also show our youth that education is the key to happiness. Thank you Barack Obama for showing our youth something different and believing that change can happen and yes, you too can be the next president of the United States. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Thank you Jesus! I am so proud of our nation and the many faces that made this decision a reality. Americans came together and judged a man on his character and intelligence and not the color of his skin! I am 49 and remember the horrible images of the civil rights movement and I know that my great grandmother, who marched on Washington for the rights of many is shouting for joy in heaven with the other freedom fighters. Keeping our first family in prayer….
I just want to say my thoughts and prayers goes out for the Obama’s Family for the passing of Barack’s grandmother. She in a good place. Just wanted to say I am so glad that we have a new president Barrack Obama god bless you and your family.
I want to say congratulations to the Obama and Biden families! Yes We Did!
I also want to give kudos and credit to the “quiet” people that made Obama’s historical run possible.
One is DNC Chairman Dr. Howard Dean. It was his 50 state strategy that made this victory even more sweeter. Roland put up a blog post about this a while back, but Dean has done an excellent job because he had to help rebuild state party infrastructures from the ground up, reorganize the ones that were disorganized from the last DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe, who did not but allow them to collapsed in 2002 and 2004, while being focused on Hillary 2008 (not hating but it’s the truth). Dean also had to battle the Clintonistas (i.e. Carville) in 2006. So he has proven a lot of people wrong.
Another person is Senator John Kerry. He helped fund Dean’s 50 state strategy and wanted Dean as DNC Chairman. Because it was him, who allowed people to hear Obama by letting him give the keynote address speech in 2004, (an great one!), despite no press from the Black media (while overhyping other big name endorsements) who was one of the first big name Democrats to endorse Obama after New Hampshire, even when Barack was still an underdog and wasn’t the most popular thing to do. Not to mention most of Kerry’s staff went to the Obama campaign. He also defended Obama on TV and on the campaign trail (when no one defended him in 04, including a former president who sided with Bush) and fought every time a smear hit Barack, and advised Obama not to do the campaign finance spending, which was a smart move because the money was used for Barack’s moving 30 minute special. He also gave a nice DNC speech that was ignored by all media people except C-SPAN and PBS that went after McCain, and acknowledged Obama’s Uncle Charile. Obama’s 2008 platform is 75% of Kerry’s 2004 platform. Kerry has been Obama’s top, if not best surrogate and supporter through thick and thin.
Honorable mention goes to Obama’s senior Senate colleague, Senator Dick Durbin and former Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschile. They are also the “quiet” people who played a role in this journey.
CONGRATS TO PREZ OBAMA! EVERY TIME A PERSON SAYS GOD BLESS AMERICA THEY MIGHT NOT REALIZE THEY ARE SAYING APRAYER GOD HAS ANSWERED THAT PRAYER BY GIVING OBAMA THE PREZ POSITION! I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO ROLAND MARTAIN FOR BEING ONE THE REALIST BROTHERS IN AMERICA HIS VIEWS DURING THIS WHOLE ELECTION HAS BEEN RIGHT ON MAY GOD BLESS US ALL AND MAY GOD BLESS TVONE!
I am happy to have Barack Obama as the 44th President I am happy to have him not only because he is black, but because he is smart and really seems to understand what is going on and what needs to be done. When he said that we want to approach out nation’s economy and spending with a scalpel that was brilliant. And I know he means it because of other interviews I have watched (I won’t go into details here) he seems to be a polictical mind and therefore understands and he cares.
((NOW MY CONCERNS))
I would hope that we could depend on any President Republican or Democrat black or white to lead us in equality amongst all people with opportunities for all people not just the elite of famalies or the elite of the educated or in a chain of studies, degrees and who you know. Because everybody was not dealt a hand by which they could play in that “game” so to speak. So I hope that President Barack Obama and every future president will make a deal with the American people we won’t agree on everybody but I believe with core values and principles we can do much better than we have in the past. Seems like all of the job creation thus far has benefited those that work in industry and rather high-ranking or high-paying positions these jobs never trickle down to the bottom of the totem pole. What about “REAL” innercity youth programs that replace what the kids are doing now making babies and killing up each other. These programs will probably need massive oversight until they get grounded and those in charge truly understand the basis for the program then these programs can last as long as the inner city schools that most of these children attend. This will create jobs in the inner city as well. I am sure there a more great ideas and maybe I will come back with more. Michelle would be great along with a team to do this. I can tell how much she loves her children and the type of woman she seems to be I know she wants more opportunities for other youth she sees struggling. I am not asking for blind dollars I am asking for CHANGE, for the communities across our country all to be valued not given a handout ((everybody can see that a simple handout in these types of cases)) is not what we need. Blacks always seem to be given a little wage because we are so desperate then asked to work the miracles of Jesus Christ himself. Don’t underpay these people if you can pay those guys out there that lay pipe in Texas and Alaska top dollar because of the importance of their work and their ability and how they give you their time surely if you can find individuals who are truly gifted to help these young people it is just as important for everybody crime rate can go down. Let’s not forget our poor white families either. It breaks my heart to see these young people suffering we need somebody involved that can penetrate the heart of these children and young adults with hope for their own personal brighter future. This is my opinion and where I would like to see the Presidency heading
I’am so happy to be able to witness this time right now. Im a young african american female. TO see a black president come into office and run the country let’s me know i can do anything. It’s amazing to see where the african american race have come from.We have gone from building the white house to now running. God bless President Obama and his family and God bless all races.
Im as proud right now as I was when I gave birth to my two children. America, we’ve given birth again!!!! To “real” change, “real” vision, and opportunity….
We the people of the USA are so bless to have Obama as our 44 prsident. Dr.King was our moses and Obama is our Joshua. And we the people will get to the promise land. God bless and keep our new president.
(on tv today) i like to know what the problem is with the picks of the white house, i been watching this whole thing from day one and i can not see why not one black man was not shown as being on staff. this is the african american time in history to where the people need to see that black men and women can run america. now dont get me wrong im not saying that we as black people need to not take others with us. history has shown that who ever is in the house of power, reach out to there own (just facts). lets not be stupid concerning this situation. black people need to have a shot at the title not just one person. there are many great black men and women who know just as much as a white man on how to run things in life and this country.

God Bless America:
Maybe it will help alot of the non-voters for President Elect “Barack” if they read the book of “Judge” beginning at the 4th chapter of the King James Version of the Holy Bible. I am very positive that we all will agree that my President Elect life has been predestined by God. I often wondered what manner of man was he by being so humbly after being called everything in the book except a “Child of God”. Also; being able to swallow his tears as he was making his speech in charlotte, NC after learning of his grandmother’s death on the Eve of his victory. Many shared in his sorrow and tears as he wiped his own tears, but yet never stuttle or weaken his voice. After reading Judge 4: I now understand Barack (Barak) was chosen by God and not man. Seemingly, this is what carried him when probably he was not able to carry himself. Thank God of Almighty that I was able to live through this long time of coming dream of Martin Luther King, and can reference my President to the Bible; Which is what will keep you, and when you get to the point of not knowing what to do: JUST STAND STILL, AND SEEK GOD.
As Roland Martin States:
This is my Perspective, What is Yours?

I got to have a tee shirt and cap with “OBAMA” name on it, also a sticker to go on my car. Michelle, you are beautiful. Of course you know the girls are too. I have not ever seen countries other than the U.S. shouting for a president as they did for President Obama. Some in Africa was lucky enought to name their new borns “Barack Obama”, and one Michelle. I continue to plead the blood of Jesus over you and your family life. Life will be good, because God has already pre-stated it with his anointing Powers.
A decendent of slaves and slave owners. “Maybe GOD is trying to tell you something”. It’s as if GOD reached down, picked up slavery in his hands, held it and placed it back down exactly where he wanted it to be. This is deep. Now tell me that GOD is not trying to tell us something.
God in His magnificent, infinite wisdom knew it was not Jesse Jackson’s season when he ran for President. This was all pre-ordained from the moment Barack Obama was concieved. God grew this man, prepared this man, educated this man for this time in his life. 2 Years ago was Barack Obama’s time, his season to run for President of the United States. I thank God for the blessed opportunity he has bestowed upon all Americans. I believe in my heart that President-Elect Barack Obama, will to the best of his God given ability, make a change. Let us all be in prayer as he embarks on this journey.
Barack Obama was born August 4 ,1961.
His marriage was at the age of 31(3+1=4).He was elected President in the November 4 election. He is the 4th youngest US President.Also,148 years have passed since the swearing in of Lincoln(148 adds up to 4)
In a particular numerological way the year 2008 was important for obama.
He was born in 1961 which gives 17 by addition.1961+17 makes 1978.Now,1978 brings 25 by addition.Add 25 to 1978.That gives 2003.Number 2003 gives 5 by addition.Adding 5 to 2003 makes 2008.
Is it a mere number crunching? No ,not at all!
To substantiate this point see the case of Saddam Hussein .He was born in 1937 .Adding the numbers in 1937 gives 20 .Add 20 to 1937.Then we get 1957.It was in 1957 that Saddam joined the Revolutionary party
Now add the numbers in 1957.Then we get 22.Adding 22 to 1957 gives 1979.
Saddam became Iraq president in the year 1979.
coming back to Obama, his name number (occult number) is 26 which adds up to 8.
b+a+r+a+c+k+o+b+a+m+a=2+1+2+1+3+2+7+2+1+4+1=26.
Michelle was born on january 17,1964.Hence her birth number is 8.Her occult number is 44.
Surprisingly, the fate number of Obama and Michelle is same.Their fate number is 29.It is obtained by adding together the numbers of the date, month and year of birth.
Briefly,Obama and Michelle carry the same fate number and occult number.
Since the fate number is 29,the year 2009 is going to be highly epoch making in their life.
