WHITE HOUSE SWAGGER: OBAMA AT BEN’S CHILI BOWL
There’s no denying it — people think Obama is cool. His name is constantly on the lips of celebs like Jay-Z, John Legend and Oprah Winfrey. Not to mention the man’s face is on more t-shirts than size labels.
Obama recently scored some more cool points when he dropped by Ben’s Chili Bowl in D.C. Everything was caught on tape — from Obama sharing a chili dog with Mayor Adrian Fenty to him holding babies.
But the coolest moment comes roughly about a minute into the clip above. When asked by the cashier if he wanted anything else, President Obama doesn’t say “No, thank you” or “I’m Ok.”
No, Obama replies “Nah, we straight.”

I believe President Obama said,he was straight because I meet him in Hyde Park were I work. As a mater of fact I meet him twice. He was very nice and down to earth he is a real people person.
I was voting republican last year and switched to Democratic only because of Mr. Obama. He is very intelligent and a natural leader and motivator. But this video demonstrates that he is not out of touch with reality and if I’m not mistaken, can switch from the professional tone to a more relaxed and casual tone based on who’s around him. I think I heard him say “na, we’re straight” which I believe means “no, we’re ok”. I’m trying to learn new terms from my kids.
I am 66 yrs old and never thought I’d see the day of aq blck president. On election day I took my deceased relatives obituarys with me to to polls.
This is the reason President Obama is adored by so many people. This is the first president I have ever seen to have actual fans, can you believe it fans.
President Obama seems to be the kind of person that you would feel comfortable talking to and you don’t have to be phoney around him. I guess it’s true what they say,sometimes being yourself works best
