The election of 2008 the campaign was framed as hope vs. fear. The American people voted for hope over fear. I am writing in the hope that someone will really listen what is really going on in this country today.

There is an overwhelming sense of fear, not fear about terror but fear that, except for the rich, most “regular people” will never recover from this recession.

I am have been mostly unemployed for 2 ½ years, except for the occasional temp job. I was hopeful that with the 2008 election I would see things getting better. Instead, except for the rich, things have gotten worse.

I see Congress doing what they usually do, posturing, caving in to the lobbyists to protect their own individual interests, not having the “stones or ovaries” to do what’s right for all Americans, fighting just to fight. I truly believe that Congress is not really interested in making America better. Therefore, they have managed to steal hope from us.

I see the financial titans only looking out for themselves and their bank accounts by lining their pockets with taxpayer money, then they wonder why they are so hated my the “regular people” who were shown the door so they can packet our money as opposed to providing the jobs we need to prime the economic pump.

I see my neighbors put out on the street with no job and no hope.

I have applied to over 300 jobs in the past 2 ½ years only to be told that I’m overqualified, not a “cultural” fit (as a African-American male that lived through the civil rights movement this “cultural” fit thing means to me no blacks at the inn) and since I am a mature adult (meaning that I am showing some grey hair) I get the sense that my age plays against me.

Right now, unless there is a drastic move by both government and business toward job creation, not in a year but right now, we will become a hopeless nation.

My solution, lock Congress and the President in the Capitol with no staff, lobbyists, cell phones, blackberry’s, twitter, or any people not directly elected by the people. Only give them 3 hot’s and a cot and ring the Capitol with the 101st Airborne until they can solve the problems the American people sent them to Washington to solve.

I think he has potential to become a best dressed on-air personality. When I watch his show it seems he has sort of pastel colors in ties and colored shirts. I would like to see him in dark colored suits that would enhance his dress furnishing selections.

I had to see that tie up close to know that it has flecks of blue that pick up the shirt color. He's alright. I like it when guys love to dress and smell good. Not to the point of being all vain and metrosexual about it...just knows and appreciates quality.
