Couldn’t you find someone better than Armstrong Williams for your premier first show? Just another example of so-called influential black folks shucking and jivng. Your next guest will probably be that self-promoting race pimp Travis followered by Michael Steele.

Then let’s start the parade of black so-called scholars and intellectuals who have have earned their golden knee pads criticizing the President on the white tv networks for the benefit of the white tv hosts, owners and audiences.

I should have known not to expect much from you or your new show, especially considering who owns the TV station.

Roland – excellent show!

In the past TV One has had politician shows (during the campaign) that was not cohesive and looked downright unprofessional.

Your show is very polished, great guests and I like the fact that you made Biden talk.

You panel is great.

I agree with you, black folks have to become engaged in health care.

Congratulations and good luck!

Congrats to TV One for bringing serious programming for mature African Americans! Roland is a great choice to host this show. He has creditability and is knowledgeable about the issues. Thanks for giving us a choice!

Roland and Producers – one request please.

Please, please let your show have some focus. You don’t have to cover every topic on every show. People watching your show are specifically tuning in to watch you, we’re not flipping channels and our attention span is longer because we want to understand what’s really going on.

I LOVE politics but stopped watching most of the political main stream shows because they don’t cover a topic completely so that the nuisances of the topics being discussed are understood by the audience.

It doesn’t do the topic, your audience, you or your guest any justice if they are given only 30 seconds to report on what they are observing. They might have a very important point that gets lost in the rush.

There was a reporter that came on for a few seconds that had what sounded like important information (she was on the phone, not the audience) but you rushed her so her point was completely lost.

I feel because she was rushed I missed out on an important point of view.

Please give your guests enough time to get their point across.

Too many topics without enough substance is not worth watching. Fewer topics with detailed information would be fabulous.

During the campaign I use to hate when CNN did that to you — you would sit there for hours and sometimes have the point of view I wanted to hear most and then you spoke for 10 seconds…

I am exceedingly glad that you have a program that’s going to educate us.

I used to live in New York and loved to watch Gil Noble’s “Like It Is” because I came away from each show having learned something because he allowed his guest full thoughts.

My comment is a bit long – sorry!

Your debut show was excellent — thank you!

Roland,
This show is long over due.
You did an excellent job.

Thank You,

This is such a refreshing program. I love Roland’s TV presence and how he brings out the issues (pros & Cons). He has a Winner and I’ll try to watch everyone Sun.
On the issue of race, there’s no way to get around this because you still have those who can’t accept the idea of a black man is running this country. Thank God that number is being dominated by sensible persons realizing the best man to get this country back on track is an inteliigent, American who has the country’s best interest in his heart and is his main focus. Pres Obama is doing this well!

My husband has been chompin at the bit, for you to have a show(so have I) Now we know “ALL” issue’s will be addressd. Congradulation’s and may God Bless you with a long long run!!!!!!

Congrats Roland

Washington Watch was so needed and long over due. The first show was great. I know it will only get better. Thanks for the 5:00 time slot (I’m in church at 11:00). Praying for your success.

Great show leave Armstrong Williams off the show.

Great show and a Great Host.
I would like you to focus on ACORN.
I don’t like the way they’re being
treated in the news by FOX and no one has come to their defense but Rachel Maddow on MSNBC. I think we (Blacks) need to get involved and push back. After all they’re not the only company/organization that’s done something wrong. It’s time to get busy.

I believe it was overdue to have this forum to discuss black issues in government. It really felt good to view this for myself. Thanks TV1

Roland – You are an Excellent choice to host this program!
Your “voice” is needed to address the issues that concern African Americans in an authentic way. I wish you much success and Congratulations!

Roland, I love your show and have been waiting for you to host your own show since you sat in on CNN for Campbell. Actually, I was dissappointed when she returned. I always felt you were the only honest and direct voice on the show. Please keep your show focused on your audience and honest. Don’t skirt the issues.. tell it like it is. You are making Houston proud. I am a political junkie and will watch every week. Congratulations!!! (Janell – Missouri City, Texas)
