Now that President Obama has ordered more troops to Afghanistan, Roland asks the question no one else is asking, how will he answer to Black America who is decidedly against this war?
TELL US: What do you think of Susan Rice’s answer? Will it be enough to convince those who are already against the war?

common sense 101 is there’s a war going on!people that are against this action now are not being real!too assume makes you the first three letters of the word!!there making a real attempt that the last president nutted up about!!!the forgotten war now got the attention of the gop and anybody that disagree!out side of the box is a scary thing for segregationist and the outdated political pundits!!!!peace and love!!!!!be real 18months is a long time ask a person that”s unemployed!!!!!!!!
Mrs. Rice spoke very eloquently, but still left me with the simplistic notion that removing Al-Qaeda from Afghanistan is a success in the war against terror. Doesn’t Al-Qaeda have a global presence? Knowing we are applying so much effort in Afghanistan, is it realistic to think that people shrewd enough to pull off 9/11, possibly with access to Bin-Laden’s billions, are simply staying in place, waiting? I know the President has a ‘quagmire’ on his hands. But as Senator. he voted to deny funding of ‘dumb war’. This is in part why I voted for him.
I heard an Iraq war veteran describe President Bush’s approach to war as ‘video game mentality’; the belief that if we go in like gangbusters, destroy or capture every bad guy in our path, we win! If only it were that easy. Aside from Bin Laden and his officers, can we even positively identify the people we are after? If Al-Qaeda is denied the mountains of Afghanistan, won’t they find training grounds elsewhere?
I don’t know what the solution is. But I would like to see a better justification for risking 30,000 more American lives.

BLACKS ARE AT WAR IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. We love fighting and killing – we just prefer to do it in our communities. We are rasing children of violence. Instead of sending them to PRISON – SEND THEM TO AFCHANISTAN. Train our MEN to be real soldiers for the country. My father was given a choice of going to jail or to the Korean War. He went to the Korean War. He since became a Sheriff and a Homeowner and a good father. Show our young people how to fight in a real WAR. SEND THEM OVERSEAS.
All the terrorists are here and see no reason for sending in 30,000 extra troops for one hundred or less terrorists in Afganistan.
If Haitians were the source for the H1N1 flu all borders will be closed and they will deny access to enter our country? So why aren’t the Mexican borders closed? Why are they still allowed in our country? Also you are so willing to help Cuba but not Haiti because of the history but doesn’t Cuba share the longetivity of their history?
