Roland -- what a BRILLIANT and refreshing concept you have. It is great to see and hear diverse points-of-views on your program – it’s great to hear from our intellectuals, our politicians, our philosophers, our entrepreneurs and our artists.

This is very innovative. It’s not just that Luda is in the hip hop community – he is DOING things to help our communities and many of us need to see that hip hop is not just about bling but it can be about helping and inspiring as well. Luda should be commended as continues to do so much in New Orleans and as he helped during the floods in ATL a few weeks ago.

I would love to see John Legend, Jay Z, Diddy, Mary J, Common, Beyonce, etc on your program to hear how they’re giving back. If these mega stars are giving back to the community in a meaningful way we should know about it so we can commend them and give them the respect they should get for doing so. If they are not giving back we should know that as well. If our celebs know that we are aware of their philanthropic activities, it may help to keep them responsible and on point.

It would be great to see some of them COME TOGETHER and support after school programs and community centers to give our young people somewhere to go, something to do and to get our young people off the streets after school. It seems that many people have their own individual ‘foundations’ that do a little but more can be done if they come together, create a business and pool their money for the children.

I am forty-something and enjoy some hip hop but can’t deal with the crazy narcissism lyrics that’s only about me, me, me and bling and azz of some rappers.

I have heard some hip hop artists incorporate references to President Obama and First Lady Obama in their lyrics and they are positive. Just referencing the President and First Lady in lyrics shows that some of our artists are politically and socially aware and that is a PLUS. I think we will continue to see a maturity in lyrics from some artists.

With Barack now as president, will you be more conscious of the lyrics you write regarding women? Try to encourage better communication between women and men as well as their responsibilities? And will you do write more songs about your political views after Baracks election?

Is rap music something you see yourself doing for the rest of your life? If not, what are your future plans to replace rap if or when you decide to retire?
