Thank you Mara. I enjoy your entries also.

Littlebit, look. I wouldn't move to east Texas yes. Houston, Dallas , Austin and even SA are great places for anyone. High employment, compared to the rest of the country, plus affordable living. Plus, blacks are working and earning a great living in droves. You don't see that in Il. at all. I know what I am talking about. If you live in east Texas then I would move. You obviously have never been to or lived in Chicago. Even MLK when he visited stated that he experienced and saw some of the worst racism he had ever sen there.

Brenda my take is this. Yes blacks are targeted unfairly. We are targeted in lots of areas. So you know what? Lets wise up. Let's not become targets. Its hard to defend anyone who intentionally breaks the law whether they are being targeted or not. With all the violence and the destroying of young lives drugs brings I really don't care who they target. If they target blacks then they at least get them out of our neighborhood. That's a positive to me.

Larry, if you bothered to read the article I cited, you would have discovered how the war on drugs unfairly targeted black neighborhoods. Also check out the Frontline documentary on the issue. It depicts an elderly grandmother who is doing hard time because her son/grandson? named her as a fellow dealer as part of a plea bargain. Woman claimed she has never seen drugs, and I believe her. The system is set up to have a domino effect. According to drugwarfacts.org, "Nationwide, black men are sent to prison on drug charges at 13 times the rate of white men." Don't you find that disturbing?

I am not saying that anyone who commits a crime should be characterized as a victim. I strongly agree that convicted felons should not be allowed to carry weapons. But who is endangered and who is served if they are not allowed to vote? It is pure political manipulation.

Peace!

I can not believe how generalized the comment was. I thought we are trying to move away from such stereotypes. So why don't we say all democrats are poor. Please stop spinning issues....and I did say spinning. I am truly appalled with Roland Martin.

The longest-serving member of Congress, a Democrat, WV Robert Byrd was a member of the KKK, on record of voting against the Civil Right Act.

Many on this site especially (he/she) would want us to believe that the only party that had/has bigots is the Republican Party.

I have news for you all -- the Democratic Party ALSO have racists within the Party.

Larry, I always look forward to your great sense of reasoning, backed up ny facts, unlike some who can only resort to personal attacks.

Larry you have never visited Texas if you think Illinois is worse than Texas. You are just spitting out hot air. What part of Texas is great for blacks?

Rance, Karen and Littlebit,

One day you guys will learn that racism will always be here and that after awhile it makes no difference whether another person likes your color or not. At that point the only thing you have left is what are your actions going to be to make your life better. As long as the racist doesn't affect your way of life or your paycheck why would you give them so much energy? So you feel Rush doesn't like black people. It doesn't matter. Concentrate on what you need to do and don't worry about people who can't affect your life. If you need that much love then obviously there is some work to be done.

Please also put down the race card and pick up an economic book. You will then see what I see.

Karen C writes:
"Former President George Bush himself have a few biracial children running around."

Are you for real?

November 2008, America voted the first biracial person to be president. Being biracial can't be a bad thing.

littlebit.... Apparently who didn't read Karen's posting to which I was responding.

Karen statement was:
"I tell you this much though that sense Obama been in office I have truly been bless, and dwelling in Gods overflow."

So I posed the question:
Are you saying, you have only known (been) blessed since January 2009. If that’s your argument, your God must be a democrat?

The operative word here is "IF." The if suggests that my question was conditional.

I find it hard to believe that prior to Obama (a democrat)being in office, Karen had not experienced blessing and was not dwelling in God's overflow as she stated.

You know you guys are amazing. Even funny. First you think you are the only ones who have been to Texas. I hate to bust your bubble. I have lived in lots of places and Texas IS one of the best states for blacks. Illinois is much worse, much worse. The racism there would make your skin crawl. Not only that but the black on black crime in Chicago would leave you perplexed and scared. The consistent high black unemployment rate is no joke either. I don't think you know about racism, please. This is why Obama is who he is. Chicago politics. Ruthless. There are other states also that would chase you home.

I am a brother yes, but apparently not yours. Its interesting. You couldn't deal with the hard facts so you had to somehow attack my ethnicity. What's clear about me is I don't let my color tell me lies. I know what's good for America. I know a Marxist when I see one. The fact that you refuse to say anything about this person who sits in the WH and does absolutely nothing about the economy while we all rot is a disgrace. You aren't black because you are not standing up for your people. You are only standing up for Barack and he could give a da... about you. Just amazing. I am a brother and probably know more about our African roots than anyone on this panel. That's half our problem in America is that we know nothing of our roots.

Now I don't say this to be mean but when you want to call me white then ok its on. If I was so white why would I spend time talking on this site when I could be busy doing something else. That's what I'm talking about. Just because someone doesn't agree with you you attack their color just like youngsters would attack a young brother because he has mastered the English language. We see this all the time. Mara is right on point about the jobs site numbers. Obama again, has found a way to try and deceive the public but its not working. You guys can't see it because you can't get past his color.
I'm not sure how you guys can take this. Here is a brother in office and he is basically an empty suit bowing all over the world to other leaders like he is some pheasant and not the most powerful man in the world. The funny thing is , is black folks is the one he's fooling the most while we take on the brunt of what's really going on in America.

Like I said check out the black conservative sites I have named above.
