• Michael Jackson’s physician has officially been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

THE SPIN
In “sucks to be you” news, it’s official: Conrad Murray has been formally charged in relation to the death of Michael Jackson.

Dr. Conrad Murray will officially be charged with involuntary manslaughter. If convicted, Dr. Murray faces a maximum of four years in prison.

He should also be sentenced to a beat down by Tito and Mama Kat, but I guess we can’t get what we want.

TMZ reports that according to the criminal complaint, the District Attorney alleges Dr. Murray “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson … in the commission of an unlawful act, not a felony; and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death, in an unlawful manner, and without due caution and circumspection.”

Dr. Murray is expected to turn himself in around 1:00 p.m. PST and will be arraigned 30 minutes later. He will plead not guilty and will be accompanied by his legal team and a bail bondsman. Bail should be set at $25,000.

I feel about as sorry for him as any fool playing in traffic.

THE FACTS
The Fugees member said he would like to reunite with Pras and Lauryn Hill to record a benefit single.

THE SPIN
It would take a natural disaster to potentially reunite three people who seem like they’d rather tap dance on thumbtacks than sit in the same studio together again.

In a recent interview Wyclef revealed that he hopes that once Lauryn Hill and Pras hear his new EP, “From the Hut to the Projects to the Mansion,” it will inspire them to regroup and record for the cause of Haiti.

He told Web site DJBooth.net:

Wyclef Jean wants to reform The Fugees.

“Somehow The Fugees is the soundtrack to everyone’s house. What I’m hoping is that this group really gets inspired by the new movement that I’m on right now, the new music that I’ve got coming out, the movement with the youth, and I’m hoping they’ll get inspired and be like, ‘Yo, let’s find Clef and let’s get this thing cracking.’ And it would be an honor to go in and make it a super album.”

The problem blocking this from happening revolves around Lauryn Hill. ‘Clef once questioned her mental state while Pras went one step further in 2007 when he said:

“Before I work with Lauryn Hill again, you will have a better chance of seeing Osama Bin Laden and George W. Bush in Starbucks having a latte, discussing foreign policies, before there will be a Fugees reunion.”

But, Pras must have introduced Bush and Bin Laden recently because he seems to be up for it.

A month ago he said he would be up for a special one-off concert. Or even a charity single.

He said: “Everyone is doing different relief and when the time is right, the vibe is right, the Fugees should definitely contribute a single to go into Yele Haiti. I think it would raise a lot of money.”

I’ll believe it when I see it, but it’s a nice thought.

The rapper reportedly threw a tantrum over being bumped from first class.

THE SPIN
According to the New York Post’s Page Six Kanye cut up at LAX this week.

They report:

Kanye West is a finicky flier. A source said the rapper threw a fit at LAX Monday night on his way back to New York from the Grammys after he and his assistant were seated in business class instead of first.
“He wanted to be bumped up,” says our witness. West and his aide were eventually moved to the better seats. A rep for Kanye — who garnered widespread condemnation over his onstage outburst at last year’s MTV awards as Taylor Swift accepted her award — didn’t get back to us.

You know what at this point people need to leave the man alone. He’s rich and wants to fly first class. I don’t blame him. Don’t you get free alcohol in first class? I wouldn’t know because I sit in coach for now and I bring a flask. Well, not really but I might look into it now that I’ve written it.

Seriously, though, it looks like some members of the press are obsessed with blowing every ‘Ye related event out of proportion in order to make him look like a monster.

Maybe he simply wanted to be sat in the section he paid for?

I get pissed off when I order a wing and I open the bag and find a greasy thigh. I feel Kanye’s pain in my own special way. Don’t you?
