KATT WILLIAMS ARRESTED

THE FACTS
Katt Williams has been arrested for burglary.

THE SPIN
In save this Negro from himself news, Katt Williams has been jailed in Georgia on charges of burglary and criminal trespassing.

A deputy at the jail in Coweta County, confirmed to the Associated Press that A Pimp Named Slickback was indeed being held and that he is scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing this afternoon.

As of now no police report has been made available, but needless to say when a highly successful comic rumored to be in need of a prescription has been arrested for burglary, there’s obviously a problem.

And why is he grinning in that mug shot? He needs a touch up and a touchdown on a psychiatrists’ couch.

AL SHARPTON’S EX-WIFE, DAUGHTER ARRESTED

THE FACTS
Al Sharpton’s daughter and ex-wife were arrested.

THE SPIN
Don’t you hate it when some fool is blocking you on the road when you’re trying to get to your destination?

So do I, but here’s a friendly roadside tip: Try not to act up when that fool blocking you carries a page.

According to the New York Post, Friday night wasn’t the best night for the Rev. Al Sharpton’s daughter and ex-wife.

They report:

The Rev. Al Sharpton’s ex-wife and daughter were arrested last night after berating a pair of Harlem cops who pulled them over for running a red light in the wrong lane to get around their slow-moving, unmarked cruiser, sources told The Post.

Kathy Jordan, 53, and her daughter, Dominique Sharpton, 23, were handcuffed and hauled to a precinct, where the raging reverend’s daughter tried to no avail to get off the hook because of her family ties, the sources said.

It seems daughter Sharpton honked her tone and then tailgated a vehicle from NYPD’s Housing Bureau before blowing up. The Post claims she “furiously swerved across the double yellow line and sped through a red light to get past the cop car.” And once she was pulled over, she and her mother were accused of becoming “belligerent and argumentative.”

An attorney for Al Sharpton called the arrests and desk appearance tickets “highly questionable and unusual,” and noted that Sharpton would “look into the case.”

Based on what’s been reported thus far is this another case of “driving while black” is should someone have driven in silence?

WILL LIL’ WAYNE HAVE TO CUT HIS HAIR FOR JAIL?

THE FACTS
There’s speculation as to what will come of Lil’ Wayne’s trademark hair once he begins his likely one-year jail sentence next year.

THE SPIN
Typically with New York State Law inmates aren’t allowed to have long hair – especially locs.

With Wayne heading to prison soon for gun possession many are asking what will come of his long locs that have become associated with Wayne almost as much as a Styrofoam cup?

The blog, Fly Style Life spoke with one attorney who shared the followed:

We reached out to a lawyer friend of ours to find out Wayne’s sentence means for his almost waist-length locks.

“Male prisoners are only allowed to wear their hair in cornrows, going straight back. And they can’t exceed the ‘natural hairline’ in length.”

Now of course our question is: what does ‘natural hairline’ mean?

“It means it can’t extend the neck.” But there is one loop-hole in the issue – though I’m not sure it’s going to help Wayne. “Prisoners who claim Rastafarri as their religion are allowed in most cases to keep their locks. But even then there’s a process to determine if it’s genuine.”

I know what you’re saying, Why does it matter to prison officials in the first place? Well the rules on personal grooming have everything to do with safety and control. Authorities argue that contraband can be hidden in the hair and that is can be shaved to quickly alter appearance in the event of escape.

So it doesn’t look good for Weezy. This will be one interesting mug shot.

I know, I know: It’s not [that] important, but it will make for an interesting mug shot at least, right?
