CHRIHANNA HITTING THE BIG SCREEN

THE FACTS
Rihanna and Chris Brown have both gained new film roles.

THE SPIN
After watching Rihanna’s performance in Kanye West’s video for “Paranoid,” I can see why she needs an acting coach.

Pretty as she may be, she made Beyonce look like Meryl Streep.

However, these days you know that doesn’t matter, hence why she’s already been cast in a film without any real acting experience.

The Bajan beauty will star in Personal Protection (insert your snarky comment here).

The film is said to be due later this year. An unidentified source told NY Daily News, “She’s not ready- acting wise, yet, so she’s meeting with a coach.”

As for her ex, Chris Brown will star in an untitled project that’s said to be a “tearjerker,” according to a pal. “Chris plays a homeless character,” the friend said to the NY Daily News.

“It’s a real rags-to-riches story and should be good for his image.”

O.J. SIMPSON WANTS APPEAL

THE FACTS
O.J. Simpson wants his case thrown out.

THE SPIN
In Negro please news, O.J. Simpson has asked the Nevada Supreme Court on Tuesday to throw out his armed robbery and kidnapping conviction.

Simpson, who is serving his sentence at Lovelock Correctional Center in northern Nevada, won’t be eligible for parole until 2017.

In his appeal, Simpson says he was denied a fair trial through a series of errors–judicial misconduct, insufficient evidence and a lack of racial diversity on the jury.

Ahh, he’s playing that card again. Although I think his claims have some validity to them, usually you only get once chance to get away with something (allegedly) once.

I have a hard time believing they’re going to throw his case out altogether. But who knows, maybe he channeled Johnnie Cochran for legal advice in a séance.
