WHAT HAS AARON HALL BEEN UP TO LATELY?

THE FACTS
A video of Aaron Hall’s “Dog Rehab” has been posted.

THE SPIN

In there has to be another way to make money news, Guy lead singer and R. Kelly’s former inspiration, Aaron Hall is out shooting videos for something called “Aaron Hall’s Dog Rehab.”

No really, have you all looked at this video?

I still listen to “Groove Me” and “Teddy’s Jam” like they came out a week ago. This saddens me.

Even sadder is him name dropping all of these people about his apparent God-given gift to communicate with Scooby and Scrappy.

Him trying to tie in all of his music with his obsession with poochies and pits isn’t making me yearn from a Guy reunion either.

Can some of you go out and buy some copies of his debut album? Maybe he can go to veterinary school or something.

FAIZON LOVE & KALI HAWK REMOVED FROM MOVIE POSTER

THE FACTS
Images of Faizon Love and Kali Hawk were removed from a promotion poster for the Vince Vaughn comedy, Couples Retreat

THE SPIN
In “ya’ll say it’s not racist, but it sure sounds like it to me” news, marketers removed the images of Faizon Love and Kali Hawk from the promotional poster of the film Couples Retreat for the U.K. market.

A spokesperson for Universal responded to criticism about the altered poster saying the posters were altered “to simplify the poster to actors who are most [recognizable] in international markets.”

I’m sure it had nothing to do with the belief by some in Hollywood that Black actors aren’t marketable outside of the U.S.

Although the international film market is very much racist, altering the actors out of the posters is essentially caving in and enabling racists across the pond.

However, since the criticism has spread online Universal issued a statement regretting any offense it caused, and the studio has scrapped all plans to use the modified poster in other overseas markets.

MOTHERS OF LIL’ WAYNE, T-PAIN & NE-YO PLAN SHOW

THE FACTS
Mothers of rap and R&B stars plan new talk show.

THE SPIN
Would you like to spend your daytime with the mamas of Lil’ Wayne, T-Pain, and Ne-Yo?

Yeah, me neither, but there’s probably an audience out there for it. No doubt envious of the attention Keyshia Cole’s mama has received, these three mamas of chart-toppers are said to be in the development stages of a talk show.

They will soon be completing a pilot to shop to major networks.

Apparently, the women are set to talk about an array of topics, but in particular disorderly conduct in the hip-hop world, to domestic issues and hot topics.

So The View with a beat?

Given Wayne’s legal and baby mama drama, T-Pain helping fuel the economy by spending thousands on ridiculous items, and Ne-Yo for nearly every female on the planet (not to mention his own previous cell phone drama), I suppose these women have lots and lots to talk about.

But I still don’t want to see it. Do you?
