MOTHERS OF LIL’ WAYNE, T-PAIN & NE-YO PLAN SHOW

THE FACTS
Mothers of rap and R&B stars plan new talk show.

THE SPIN
Would you like to spend your daytime with the mamas of Lil’ Wayne, T-Pain, and Ne-Yo?

Yeah, me neither, but there’s probably an audience out there for it. No doubt envious of the attention Keyshia Cole’s mama has received, these three mamas of chart-toppers are said to be in the development stages of a talk show.

They will soon be completing a pilot to shop to major networks.

Apparently, the women are set to talk about an array of topics, but in particular disorderly conduct in the hip-hop world, to domestic issues and hot topics.

So The View with a beat?

Given Wayne’s legal and baby mama drama, T-Pain helping fuel the economy by spending thousands on ridiculous items, and Ne-Yo for nearly every female on the planet (not to mention his own previous cell phone drama), I suppose these women have lots and lots to talk about.

But I still don’t want to see it. Do you?

RIHANNA’S CAMP: ‘SONG IS NOT SATANIC’

THE FACTS
The producer of Rihanna’s latest single, Russian Roulette, denies claims about the song’s inspiration.

THE SPIN
Last week Tiffany Evans got on Twitter and started some mess when she claimed that Rihanna’s new single, Russian Roulette was “Satanic.”

I thought that was the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, and perhaps someone told Tiffany the same as she eventually denied ever making said comments and put the blame on bloggers – although they have already been posted all over the Web.

Whatever the case, the rumor caught on and now the producer behind the single, Chuck Harmony, has spoken out about the devilish foolywang.

He said:

“There are no satanic messages in the music. Maybe if we did a remake of ‘Promise Ring’ (Tiffany’s hit single), then Rihanna wouldn’t be a devil worshipper. People are so closed minded.”

Oh, feel the shade? Harmony went on:

“The song is not literal. Like most provocative art, its symbolism. Grow up. I’m never going to defend my art…I create it and then it’s out of my hands. So reviews don’t hurt me, but Tiffany’s unrealistic take on the song really urked me because idiots breed idiots. Bottom line, she is in the music business so she understands that the song is not indicative of the artist views, but rather, it’s the brainchild and vision of the songwriter and producer. With that being said, to use that song as a shining example of devil worship in the music business, you are saying that Ne-yo and Chuck Harmony are devil worshippers. That’s stupid!! That’s beyond stupid it’s immature. Artist should understand art. So with Tiffany Evans rant, I can safely say that the title artist should not be part of her bio.”

Here’s the song, you be the judge:

JAY-Z WANTS HIS CREDIT

THE FACTS
An excerpt from Jay-Z’s interview with XXL reveals that Jay-Z contests claims that his part in signing Kanye West to Roc-A-Fella was minimal.

THE SPIN
Dame Dash has been hinting and hinting, if not flat out saying that he had far more to do with Kanye West’s solo success (re: signing to the Roc) than Hov has.

Yet, Jay has finally responded to him and other critics who try to negate his business savvy and talent for developing artists.

Jay-Z on not receiving credit for Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Rihanna & Young Jeezy…

“Let’s first clear this thing about Dame and Kanye and all of us. We all had a conversation about Kanye and whether to sign him. No one knew what would become of Kanye. Not Dame, not me not Biggs. So we all sat down and said, “Let’s at least sign so we can keep the tracks in-house. It’s only good business.” And Dame said, “We can put Beans and Cam, surround him and make this type of album.” I wasn’t saying don’t sign Kanye, I was saying, at least keep the beats in-house, if anything. I don know. Maybe, maybe not. Let’s keep him here. Dame came up with the idea of surrounding him with Roc-A-Fella artists on his album, which never came out, ’cause when the album came in, everyone was like, “Oh this is good.” He stood on his own. If anything, I should be credited for wanting to sign him for his tracks. So even if Dame did sign him, he was gone at that time. I engineered those albums. In my years there, even if Tina Davis signed Ne-Yo, she was gone. They were gonna drop Ne-Yo until Ty-Ty [Tyran Smith; former Def Jam VP of A&R] put his hand up and said, “I’ll do that project”.” So there’s no Ne-Yo if I’m not there. I scrapped on of his videos that no one knows about, pulled Hype Williams, pulled June Ambrose, my stylist, made the “So Sick” video, and he’s outta here. Rihanna, there’s just no getting around that. So in three years, I’ve worked on Kanye, Ne-Yo and Rihanna. I don’t even wanna talk about the Fab record that was mine ["Money Goes, Honey Stay (When The Money Goes Remix)" off Fab's latest LP, "Loso's Way], Jeezy doing “Go Crazy (Remix)” in my office. It doesn’t even make sense to [list] like that, cause it’s childish.”

Jay-Z on the business mindset of Dame Dash…..

“I don’t want people to take this wrong, but if that’s my opinion. that’s my opinion. Dame is good at starting something. I don’t know if he gets in his own way at a certain point. You know, the fights you had coming up aren’t the same fights when you’re on a different level. What would happen is, a lot of times, I would have to go fix. You know, it was time-consuming, going back and just doing three meetings, when we could have had one. Nothing got accomplished, because everyone was screaming at each other. It got to a point…..John Meneilly (Jay’s manager) is not even the same type of thing.”
