Gayle King denies rumors that she and Oprah are involved.

THE SPIN
It’s been one of those rumors that never seen to go away. I could’ve sworn Gayle and/or Oprah have laughed about it before, but it seems they’re still being asked about it.

British newspaper The Metro caught up with Oprah’s BFF and asked her about the rumors for the umpteenth time.

She said:

“The thing [is], if we were gay, we would tell you. We would so tell you. We wouldn’t try to keep that a secret because there’s nothing wrong with being gay.When asked about the burning question, she quipped, “I love that question. That never bothers me because it’s so silly.”

So if we were, we would tell you. The truth of the matter is we’re not. It’s hard enough for me to get a date on a Saturday night as it is.

This isn’t a rumor I’m trying to continue to explore, but no there’s nothing, there’s nothing wrong with it.”

As I’ve told you many times I love and fear Oprah Winfrey…but more so fear. That said, if her best friend says she’s not gay, then she’s not gay.

Oprah spoke to Entertainment Weekly about what drew her support for the film, Precious.

THE SPIN
My personal Goddess, Oprah, said Precious had a profound effect on her.

She said she sobbed uncontrollably after watching the much-buzzed Lee Daniels film because she realized she turned her back on teenagers like Precious. That’s what prompted her to sign on as an executive producer in order to spread the word about the film.

As she told Entertainment Weekly:

“I realized that, Jesus, I have seen that girl a million times. I see that girl every morning on the way to work, I see her standing on the corner, I see her waiting for the bus as I’m passing in my limo, I see her coming out of the drugstore. And she’s been invisible to me. I’ve done exactly what the people in this film did to her. I’ve seen her and not seen her. And I thought, ‘That will never happen to me again.’”

I’m tempted to fly out to Chicago and slap on a fat suit and a lace front if it means Oprah might pass me up at a bus stop and want to give me a ride to the promise land (Harpo Studios).

For those of you who were unable to see the film last week, it’s out on wide release today.

A former flight attendant is suing Oprah’s company Harpo amid allegations of being falsely fired.

THE SPIN
In what the hell news, a former flight attendant on Oprah’s private jet is suing Harpo amid claims that two other flight attendants – including the daughter of Gayle King – lied on her…causing her to get fired (in a recession, the horror).

TMZ reports that according to a lawsuit filed yesterday, Corrine Gehrls says two of her co-workers conspired to lie to Oprah about Gehrls having “inappropriate intimate behavior” aboard a flight.

Translation: They said she was giving brain to the pilot. 

She’s asking for damages in excess of $75,000.
