YOU CAN BE T.I.’S PRISON PEN PAL

THE FACTS
T.I.’s prison mailing address has been leaked.

THE SPIN
Don’t act like some of you aren’t going to write him. I imagine he has all the time in the world to read letters, so here you go:

CLIFFORD J HARRIS
REGISTER NUMBER: 59458-019
FCI FORREST CITY LOW
FEDERAL CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION
P.O. BOX 9000
FORREST CITY, AR 72336

FYI, if you’re trying to get Tip to sign you to Grand Hustle, find a record store from 1992 and buy you a cassette tape. They’re still all the rage in prison.

YOUR SPIN: Would you write T.I.?  Tell us here.

T.I. DRAGGING HIS FEET TO JAIL

THE FACTS
T.I. is hoping to delay the start of his sentence in order to go to another facility.

THE SPIN
I’m a fan and I hope that he remains safe in jail, but seriously, can’t T.I. just go to jail already?

T.I. is supposed to turn himself in at noon today to begin his 366-day sentence, but last Thursday, T.I. reportedly filed court papers requesting a ten-day delay, which he plans to use to find a prison closer to his home in Atlanta.

As of now he is set to serve time at the low-security Federal Correction Institution in Forrest City, Arkansas.

If he behaves himself in jail – which we all know he will – he may have to only serve 10 months of his sentence. That is, if he ever bothers to start it.

YOUR SPIN: Does T.I. need to serve his time already?  Tell us here.

T.I. WILL BE DOING MORE THAN TWO MONTHS

THE FACTS
Reports that T.I. will only serve two months in prison have been deemed false.

THE SPIN
So much for G.I. T.I. getting a Paris Hilton-like prison sentence.

It seems the Associated Press made a major goof in reporting that the rapper was only going to serve two months of his 366 day sentence.

Charysse Alexander, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, told MTV News that the AP got their facts wrong.

Despite the rapper indeed receiving credit for the 305 days of home confinement he served while awaiting trial it has nothing to do with his actual prison sentence.

Alexander explained that, at best, according to federal sentencing guidelines, anyone who serves more than one year in prison is eligible for a 15 percent “good time” credit, which in Tip’s case could shave almost 55 days off his sentence.

For those of you who bought tickets to his farewell concert, feel free to no longer feel like you got got.
