DIDDY TALKS ‘DAD, LOVE & MATURITY’

THE FACTS
Diddy spoke to Elle.com on what influenced his relationships with women.

THE SPIN
For years Diddy Puff has been known as a playboy, but as the father of six kids (one adopted) by multiple women some have criticized Diddy and his relationships with women – namely, “Why won’t he marry Kim Porter?”

Well, the man himself spoke openly about past revelations that reveal why he can’t fully “mature” in relationships in an interview with Elle.com:

ELLE: Your dad was shot to death when you were only three. Who taught you how to behave with women?

SC: A couple years ago, my psychologist came to the conclusion that this is one of the big problems I have as far as maturing in a relationship. After my father got killed, my mother said, “I’m never getting married again. I don’t want men around my children.” So I’ve never actually been able to witness a husband and wife’s love. Sometimes when I see it with my friends, I just find myself staring like a child, because I’ve never actually seen it before. It’s one of the sad parts of my life.

ELLE: So what kind of behavior does this bring out in relationships?

SC: When a relationship gets to a certain point, I probably get scared and become a little self-destructive.

ELLE: By self-destructive, do you mean going out with other women?

SC: Yeah.

ELLE: If you get caught cheating red-handed, what’s the best response?

SC: Cry. It might not work, but it at least shows that you care. Goddamn, this is a deep interview. You didn’t ask Will Smith none of this shit!

ELLE: But we’re making such valuable progress! Just tell me: Are the tears real?

SC: Yeah, it hurts me. One of my weaknesses is that I actually have a conscience.

DOUG E. FRESH TALKS SCIENTOLOGY

THE FACTS
Doug E. Fresh addressed his affiliation with the Church of Scientology in an interview with Essence.com.

THE SPIN
And now a word from Doug E. Fresh, melanin representative for the Church of Scientology:

“I am the first Hip-Hop artist to do it. Isaac Hayes was a former coworker of Miss Jones and he told her about it. I went with her to one of the classes. Miss Jones stopped going but I continued. I found it fascinating. It changed how I thought. I’ve learned how to look at things and not judge them but respect them and use it in a way that people understand that I respect them, show them love and respect their reality. Scientology is not a White religion. It is not just for White people. Scientology is not written with disrespect toward God. It doesn’t worship something that is evil. It is scientific, mathematical, and spiritual. The Black community has to check it out and see what’s there. I’m not saying it’s for everyone, but you have to take a look. You may be amazed at what you get.”

Well alright, Pastah Doug E.

Note the obvious talking points:

1. “It is not just for White people.”
2. “Scientology is not written with disrespect toward God.”
3. “It is scientific, mathematical, and spiritual.”
4. “The Black community has to check it out and see what’s there.”

Number 4 is my personal favorite, because it reveals his obvious intent: He’s trying to recruit ya’ll. It’s the digital equivalent of showing up at your doorstep at 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning.

Doug E. might as well have gone one step further and said, “Oh come on! Will Smith is into it now!”

NEW SCIENTOLOGY RUMORS FOR WILL AND JADA

THE FACTS
Radar Online reports that woman fired from Will and Jada Smith’s school says the school is teaching scientology.

THE SPIN
It’s becoming increasingly difficult for Will and Jada to deny their association with the Church of Scientology.

A few months ago, Jada dismissed claims that the school she opened with her husband was a cover of Scientology.

She said: “We are a secular school, and just like all non-religious independent schools, faculty and staff do not promote their own religions at the school.”

Tell that to Jacqueline Olivier - the woman Jada fired via telephone.

So why the axe?

Radar Online reports:

“Jada phoned Jaqueline and told her that they had ‘decided to go in another direction’ with the school. As head of the campus her position was becoming untenable as she did not agree with Study Tech and felt uncomfortable with it.”

Olivier “thrashed-out” a severance package with the couple and “it’s understood that she signed a confidentiality agreement with regard to her time at the school.”

The mysterious Study Tech curriculum was devised by Scientologist founder Ron L. Hubbard.  Olivier was making $200,000 a year. Now she has to file for unemployment and list “didn’t go with the Scientologists flow” as the reason why she’s no longer getting a check signed by Will Smith.

Ya’ll ain’t got to lie to kick it, Will and Jada. We’ve figured it out.
