Both have confirmed their breakup via their publicists.

She entered their marriage with a son, while he a daughter and together they became one of Black Hollywood’s most adored couples.
However, their marriage is short lived. Though they married in August 2008 by October 2009 they were reportedly already separated.
And now, D-Nice has confirmed that he and Malinda Williams are no longer together.
D-Nice sent the following confirmation to the YBF:
“I ask that our privacy be honored during this extremely personal time. I thank my family and fans for their endless support.”
Shortly thereafter BJ Coleman, publicist for Malinda Williams sent along his own indirect confirmation:
“I never comment on my clients’ personal lives. I do know Malinda’s main focus is always the well being of her son. She is working on a couple of new projects and is excited about moving forward in 2010.”

This is sad too because I watched the G Garvin show when he did the special for their wedding and they seemed happy. Sorry.
Wow~ So sorry to hear this, I too watched the special and they just seem to fit together, so much for marrying your best friend. I pray that they both will heal and hold no hard feeling towards each other.
I am actually sad at this. They seemed good together. Hope they heal from this.
All we need to know from celebrities is when their next movie, album, book or things related to them being in the entertainment business is going to be released. Anything other than that is personal. No matter if they are in the spotlight we have no right to know all the details of these celebrities personal lives.
Marriage is always a good idea if the parties go into it with the right frame of mind, honoring the institution itself, honoring each other, being honest, sharing the responsibilities, knowing their roles, communicating, loving each other, loving and honoring God, trusting each other, spending quality time togther, and basically just keeping their vows. Not impossible. Society just wants you to think it is. There are plenty of successful marriages out there. Marriage has not changed, people’s attitude toward it has.
Marriage seems more like a trend these days rather than being with someone til death do us part. I saw the G Gavin special. Sadly this marriage was over in a little over a year…I hope they find happiness though and wish them continued success in their careers.
People just don’t value marriage anymore and jump to conclusions & divorce ..Gee maybe she should have taken a que from her on-screen character “Bird” in Sould Food. Bird loved Lem through all the rough spots…

This caught me off guard for real! I too saw the G Garvin special and followed the story in Essence. What in the world could have torn them apart so sudden?! I will keep them in prayer!
I agree with Nicole. I believe society has you to believe that marriage is about a wedding more than about two people God has brought together. If people would take the time, to insure they are marrying the right person, ie, the person God has for them, marriage will not fail.
wow! i guess this is proof that not all good things lasts. I thought they were the perfect couple, having been friends for a long time before marriage. i guess we will never know what made them go their seperate ways, but anyway i wish them both well.
I feel really sad about this. We have no idea what went down in their marriage so we should not jump to conclusions. However, I think young boys and girls are not adequately prepared for husband and wife expectations. We should tell our kids that they should want to emulate a happy healthy marriage. Like many other young girls, I dreamed of a fairy tale wedding. I saw all the movies and read all the books about princess weddings but noone told me about how to be a wife. I had to learn that through hardships…determination and preserverance. Although I am happily married now, we have rough spots like everyone else. It something you have to work at. Also, I definitely agree that putting God first and having mutual respect for each other is the foundation of a solid marraige.
WOW, That’s so sad because they looked so happy together. I pray they find they way back to each other and remember the love for God and each other will bring them back together. But, if doesn’t bring them back to each other I hope they remain friends.
typical of today’s society. you must put Jesus Christ as the head of your life as well as the marriage union. that is an afterthought today. you must be saved and have a biblical worldview.
I wanted to see that beautiful bridal brunch special, and in looking for it, I ran across this latest news! I’m so sad hear of this breakup. My prayers go out to the both of them.
Marriage is a beautiful thing, we made it bad. People are changing their partners just like they change their drawers. Most marriages today do not work because usually they have already tasted the forbidden fruit before the marriage.
I am planning to marry again and be celibate until that date. I want GOD to bless my marriage and my partner with the REAL THING.
