MTV News confirms that LL Cool J has left Janet Jackson’s ‘Rock Witchu’ tour. 

THE SPIN
He’s citing “scheduling conflicts” as his reason, but let’s be for real: It’s 2008. Who’s scheduling LL Cool J for anything? Sears?

But you can’t be mad at him for leaving the tour. Janet cancelled nine dates due to illness, and while his album isn’t selling (and isn’t about to start) that’s got to be a waste of time for LL. I mean, he has things to do. Like buy chapstick, try on new hats, and work out.

It’s your loss, Damita Jo.

Charles Barkley told CNN’s Campbell Brown that he plans to run for governor of Alabama in 2014. 

THE SPIN
When asked if he was serious about running this time (he previously mentioned running in the 1990s as a Republican), Sir Charles said:  “I am, I can’t screw up Alabama.”

Sounds like a campaign slogan to me. For Barkley, things are so bad, you can’t help but go up with him. He told Campbell Brown, “We are number 48 in everything and Arkansas and Mississippi aren’t going anywhere.”

How’s that for straight talk, McCain? As governor, Barkley promises that education will be his top priority. “The public school system in this country is the worst it has ever been and what that does is that hurts crime, it hurts the judicial system,” he said. “You know if you don’t give people education and hope, they become criminals. They get involved in drugs. So we have got to fix the public school system.”

Julia Hudson answered some of her critics on MySpace.

Since it’s been announced that her mother, brother, and now son have each been murdered, some have wondered why Julia Hudson has still been logging on to MySpace. As asinine as that question may be to some, it’s one that hasn’t gone away. Finally, Julia has shot back at some of her [nosey and inconsiderate] critics.

On her MySpace page she writes:

“Let’s see I’m 29 years old, I have one child and I’m always bored. I love to have fun - even start a little s*** here and there. I have two younger siblings - my sister is Jennifer Hudson, yes the Jennifer Hudson, and my brother is Jason.

I guess it’s time to update this. When I started my Myspace, all of the above was true. Now because I chose to do what was natural to me and love someone , it cost me my beautiful family. My wonderful beautiful loving supporting mother Darnell, my true blue baby brother Jason , I love u big baby … And last but never not least - my only son Julian, my innocent baby. One that was sheltered from all the evil in the world because we loved him so much …

But thank you all for your loving support. I know some of y’all have your opinions and you are entitled to that. [Some of you are asking] why is she logging on to Myspace at a time like this - let me tell you why. I was hoping that was a way to maybe help me get my son, my baby, the one I carried under my heart for 8 1/2 months, the son it took me 21 hours of labor to bring here, the son I grew to know and love for just a few months over 7 years - that’s why …
