EDDIE MURPHY IS KEEPING OUT OF BEVERLY HILLS

THE FACTS
The Humor Mill magazine blog reports on Eddie Murphy’s looming film projects.

THE SPIN
With his last movie making about $7 at the box office, Eddie Murphy needs a hit. Granted, I’m sure someone will pay him $20 million to star in Daddy’s Day Care 27 or something like that, but it’d be nice if he could y’know, star in a recent movie that people actually enjoyed.

People were placing their bets that Eddie’s luck would get better in a fourth installment of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise.

Yeah, scratch that off the list.

Eddie reportedly won’t be doing that movie because he hates the script. I know, I know: He actually liked the scripts of the other movies he’s done lately.

However, fret not, Eddie does love a script for a film entitled Trump Heist.

This is the movie Eddie’s agreed to star in, but hopes to bring along actors like Chris Rock, Chris Tucker, and Sidney Poitier.

It’s said to be an “urban” (re: black) version of Ocean’s 11. So far, though, only Eddie has signed on.

That film is about the employees of the Trump Tower in New York who conspire to rip off the building’s residents.

PHARRELL TALKS ABOUT ‘CHEAP HIP-HOP LOOKS’

THE FACTS
Pharrell took aim at certain styles and trends in hip-hop in an interview with Britain’s Sunday Times magazine.

THE SPIN
I’ve seen Pharrell dressed up like a flamboyant horse trainer, but outside of that, he’s usually a pretty fashion forward guy with a style many applaud and admire.

Evidently he’s well aware of this, which is why he wants to be known that he does not want to be associated with the more jewelry and jeans style his rap counterparts embrace.

I guess when you have your own clothing line, not to mention design for Louie Vuitton, it behooves you not to be associated with anything you feel is gaudy.

Here’s what he told the Sunday Times:

“I don’t understand bling - I never wore any. To me, it’s cheap jewelry for the cheap-minded. I don’t associate myself with the hip-hop fraternity. Pieces that I design are only of the best quality.”
Sounds like something a queen would say. Moving on, Pharrell explained that he likes some aspect of rap style:

“If I’m photographed wearing sunglasses indoors, it’s probably because I really like their fashion sensibility, or the brand. Or when a camera is going off.”

And following the logic of the Drake line, “I work hard, so I deserve it,” Skateboard P calls a ‘workaholic’ and credits the way he was brought up with making him thankful for his achievements.

He said:

“My upbringing was humble and modest. Not to say that I ended up humble. But over time, I have calmed down and become more appreciative. Coming from nothing can inspire one to do great things.”
And it affords you the right to wear spiffy glasses in the club, too.

DOES KEYSHIA COLE HAVE STALKER POTENTIAL?

THE FACTS
Many believe a blind item about a possessive female celebrity is about Keyshia Cole.

THE SPIN
Time for the guessing game.

Via the Pananche Report:

“Few people know that this very popular black female celebrity who loves to keep it gangsta at all times has a problem of letting go in relationships. She is a certified stalker and hates to take no for an answer. Word got back to her that her boyfriend at the time (who may or may not be famous) was making it rain at a strip club and was later seen in VIP receiving a succession of lap dances.

She rushed down to the strip joint packing heat. She actually took the gun out of her purse as she headed up the stairs to confront him, luckily, his bodyguard saw her marching up the stairs with the gun and tackled her to the ground, he managed to retrieve the gun from her. This incident was hushed up. Later, she suspected this same boyfriend of entertaining a woman in his house, she rushed over to the house, took a rock and shattered the window (activating the alarm) and was climbing through the window slowly (broken glass and all) to confront him when the cops arrived. Again, this incident was hushed up.

People in her inner circle say: ‘She falls in love real quick, she’s suffocating and clingy and the men always leave! She can’t handle rejection or abandonment and she acts out. When the relationship breaks up, she always go through a stalking phase with the men, never letting go. Her manager always has to intervene and talk sense into her, when this happens, she usually backs off.’

Ex-boyfriends are quoted as saying, ‘It’s a nightmare being in a relationship with her.’

Who is she?”

Well, Neffe’s sister and Frankie’s daughter does already have the tattoo of her dude, Daniel Gibson’s name on her body, doesn’t she? Not to mention I’ve seen her on TV at the shooting range.

And judging from what Jeezy said a while back in VIBE, she does seem to fall really hard in relationships.

I’d say more, but I don’t want her shooting me. Do you think this is about Keyshia Cole?
