LIL’ WAYNE HEADED FOR PRISON

Lil Wayne plead guilty to felony gun possession in a Manhattan courtroom on October 22 stemming from a July 2007 arrest.

Another day, another rapper headed for lock up over something avoidable.
Although the rapper initially plead not guilty to the illegal gun possession charge, once a judge allowed prosecution to use a controversial DNA profiling technique used to finger Lil’ Wayne to the gun in question, he’s since changed his tune.
If he had decided to move forward with the trail in January, he faced a minimum 3 ½ year possession sentence.
Lil’ Wayne will remain free on bail while he awaits his February sentencing. He’s expected to be sentenced to a year in prison.
Wayne is also scheduled for trial in Arizona on felony drug possession and weapons charges. He has pleaded not guilty in that case, which stems from a January 2008 arrest at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint.

Maybe this is Gods way of waking Wayne up from his destructive behavior. There is a blessing in this I can see it.
It’s insane that this type of story never dies with the Hip-Hop community. This brotha just had 3 SONS!! Now they have to miss out on being with their father for at least a year.
Some of these rappers still don’t get it! Having some money, doesn’t make you invincible!! They should know by now, they tend to be targets. Years to make the cash, ONE bad decision to lose it all.
Why is they seem to need or like to go to prison? I don’t understand why they can’t do the right things and stay out of the joint.
Dude better take this as a wake up call! I agree wtih saintdiva1, why can’t these fools act right instead of trying to live up to an image?! Who cares if people think you are soft! Those same ones won’t be there when you head to that jail cell!
they may make all that money and live and a big house, drive the finest cars but the streets are still in there soul and they cant change that, which is why they do the same dumb things as if they were still on the streets!
Life finally caught up with lil Wayne. Now, lets see who he’ll be banging in prison. I don’t think these charges are on him about his illegal weapon possession it’s all about making more children than the lord allow. Sometimes prison is what it takes for some people to refocus their lives.

Come on people we all like Weezie. Don’t act like you don’t and don’t act like you like the rappers that are doing the positive thing. we all like the hard core rappers and can’t wait for their albums to drop. If the were to act soft and not like persona when they rap we would not buy their songs or we end up calling them sell outs.

It really sad how these rappers think they could do anything they want cause they have money!
