Alimony is for people who would be out on the streets without it, not for people who make 20k a month but spend 80k a month…they are in need of a reality check not a paycheck from their ex. How the hell is anyone supposed to “move on” when every month they are shelling off money to pay for their ex’s lifestyle? If you don’t want to be with someone then move on & don’t put all of your energy into making them “pay”

Child support is another issue obviously. I definitely think it is something that should be enforced but fairly…and I think that the custodial parent should have to provide proof (receipts, etc.) that they money is going toward the child because it should not be being used for that parent to live off of…get your own. I also believe that the parent paying the child support should have input into how that money is allocated because after all they are a parent as well & should be instrumental in their child’s life & needs. BUT the current system is so screwed that kids are just being used as paychecks & ways to get revenge. THAT is sad.

Its a shame to see a broken system filled with people with their own interests in mind tear apart families to an even further extent than they would have been without this tattered, backward system.

I actually think these fools will end up back together in a matter of years anyways after they make each other jealous for a little while with a little bit of rebound arm candy then realize that no relationship is perfect & sometimes you have to work on your family where you have love & history instead of giving up & starting over at the glance of a problem
