MEAGAN GOOD WANTS TO PLAY AALIYAH

In her interview with Krave magazine actress Meagan Good discussed some roles she’d love to tackle.

Just the other day was I saying how tired I am of biopics so it’s no surprise that word of an actor wanting to do more of them would surface.
Speaking with Krave magazine, Meagan Good talked about some of the roles she’d love to tackle in the future:
“I would really like to do Aaliyah’s life story. I was and am a huge fan of hers and think in a way she was our princess Diana. She was very classy, beautiful and carried herself wish such respect for a young age. It would be a great story for young girls and a great example of believing in and respecting yourself. Another woman’s character I would like to play is Whitney Houston. I have so much respect for, for what she accomplished, what’s she’s been through and what she’s come out of. Creatively I think it would be amazing to go emotionally where she’s been and bring it to life.”
With respect to Aaliyah, whom I loved, I don’t see it at “our Princess Diana.”
In any event, Meagan’s been talking about this Aaliyah movie for a while now though I didn’t think they were still trying to do it.
If there were an Aaliyah movie would you be interested to see it with Meagan as the star?

When it comes to telling the story of a famous person on film, I’d prefer the actress or actor to look more like the person they are portraying. Even if Megan had good acting skills to bring to an Aaliyah story, I just couldn’t buy her as the fallen star. Now, maybe as Whitney Houston just because they are closer in skin color. That would be an interesting story to tell and maybe Megan could pull that off. Hmm…
Would love to see Aaliyah’s story. I know we’re used to an actor portraying someone but directors of autobiography now and days don’t even try to find an individual who can act and looks close to the person their trying to portray. For me, I can’t see Good as Aaliyah and definitely not Whitney Houston. Just because you admire someone doesn’t always mean you’re the right person to portray them.
I think Meagan Good is a pretty good actress, I like her as an actress, I have seen her in a few movies and she does a good job but not great. I dont see her playing Aaliyah or Whitney, they need a stronger actor for Whitney and she doesnt look like Aaliyah at all
Lauren London and Zoe Saldana resemble Aaliyah. Ashanti and Letoya Luckett resemble Aaliyah also, but they are not professional actresses. It makes a biography more believable when there is a resemblance to the person being portrayed.
They already have their actress who is a singer in Canada to play Aaliyah.So, she can shut the hell up!
I think that even though Meagan is a good actor, that is not the role for her. First of all you must get someone that at least look like Aaliyah and she does not fit that part. Meagan is pretty but not aaliyah pretty. Good luck in finding that person to play Aaliyah.
Meagan Good is a good actress but Aaliyah?! No way! Still, I would love to see a film on her.
Gee! heaven forbid, the nerve of Meagan to dream. If they have additions and she nails it, then so be it!!
I forgot to make this comparison, to those who don’t think Meagan looks like either of these people to play them. Just look at Monique! Sitting there watching Precious and how she played the role of Mary Jones is enough to show that a good actress or actor has the ability to make the viewer see what they are trying to show.
Nah not Aaliyah, she’s too dark, Aaliyah was a red bone I don’t see anyone doing her justice to be honest.
Meagan Good is and will always be my favorite actress in the entire world, and Aaliyah will always be my favorite singer/actress. That’s why im nameing my child after them. I would absolutly love to see my favorite actress portray the life of my favorite singer, Aaliyah. I think she fits the role perfectly. She knows her life and what she went through, and since Aaliyah is her favorite also I believe she’ll do her homework and make this role extremely believable. As for Whitney, well first off Meagan Good is a really talented actress and can do anything she sets her mind to, so I believe she’ll do great at that role too. I have much love for Meagan and hope to one day meet her and be in a movie with her. I hope you stay true to yourself and not let the negativity and evilness of this industry get to you, Meagan. xoxo. *God Bless All*
