DMX TALKS ABOUT MAKING MUSIC

THE FACTS
DMX spoke to VIBE about recording new music.

THE SPIN
Well now that he’s worked himself out of going back to jail, DMX is trying his hardest to get back on the charts.

Your favorite correction officer’s least favorite inmate told VIBE:

“I’m working on the album right now. Getting this s–t done. I got a few more songs to go. I got a crazy joint with Sean Kingston. F–king sick, yo. Fire. And I got some s–t with Swizz that’s ridiculous. I just hit Kanye West the other day for some beats. Also, the same people that I been f–king with, like Dame Grease. I’ve been working on this project for so long, I forgot who else gave me f–king beats…I wanna shut n—as the f–k up! I’m still on probation, so it is what it is. I’m just working man. That’s where my focus is, work…Hopefully [the album comes out] this year. I’m just getting it done. The release will be in the hands of the powers that be.”

It’s like the year of the ex-addict (or addict, depending on who we’re talking about) in music. Eminem dropped an album, I see posters for Whitney’s comeback album all around town, and now, DMX is trying to bark and growl on beat again.

I’m glad he’s getting back to what made him the fortune he squandered on dogs and drugs, but I don’t know, I’m more interested in seeing him pasS a drug test versus zooming up the Hot 100.

YUNG JOC CAUSES TROUBLE FOR KYM AND TAMALA

THE FACTS
The rumor about Kym Whitley and Tamala Jones fighting was created by Yung Joc.

THE SPIN
Are any of you into charity? If so, can one of you volunteer your time in helping Yung Joc find a hobby. Clearly he’s bored and needs something to help pass the time.

It wasn’t enough that he made it seem like he was about to air out a bunch of closeted gay rappers.

Now it seems he’s making up fictitious fights between actors we haven’t really heard from in a minute.

About a week ago there were rumors that Kym Whitley smacked the taste out of Tamala Jones’ mouth.

Joc claimed video of the slap in question was on the way, but surprise surprise no one has seen na’an clip.

So what gives?

Tamala told Essence.com:

“I really have to come clean about this because Kym, who’s like my sister, has been catching a lot of flack for this,” explains Jones. “it is was all a joke. What happened is we ran into Yung Joc in the lobby of our hotel and we were bickering like sisters do but nothing serious and Joc was like y’all are funny like Laverne and Shirley. He ended up going to dinner with us and while we were at dinner he said we should come up with a joke like he had done about DMX and Katt Williams. He thought we should be arguing over him and we were like, ‘Uh, no.’  So we start up and his boy is taping us in action as we begin ragging on each other and then we were going to tape the second part–the alleged smack–but it never happened. Again, we were just joking around and going to let everyone know it was just a joke. I was like, ‘Sure this is good press for you Kym you have “Transformers” coming out soon.’ I’ve never been violent nor has anyone ever been violent towards me. But now, it’s gotten out of hand and it’s affecting Kym’s money because she has a deal with a company and they called her about it. So I want to just set the record straight that we were all just having fun and being silly.”

On second thought, find them all hobbies or at least new publicists.

IS DMX GOING BACK TO JAIL ALREADY?

THE FACTS
DMX has copped a plea deal to an aggravated assault charged he earned while in jail in May.

THE SPIN
For all of you who held out even a miniscule of hope that DMX was going to see the error of his ways, clean up, and turn his life around, find a chair and have a seat: You’ll have wait a little bit longer to see if your dream pans out.

Now that DMX has plead guilty to another crime, which means he may find himself back at Arizona’s Tent City Jail.

The charge stems from an incident in jail in which X verbally threatened guards.

The rapper initially denied any wrongdoing, but has since copped a plea deal. He will find out on Monday whether or not he’ll be back in jail.

If you’re counting, it took DMX a whopping 8 days to get back in the press over new jail time.
