Keyshia Cole and boyfriend Daniel Gibson celebrated the birth of their first son yesterday.

Congratulations are in order for Keyshia Cole along with boyfriend and Cleveland Cavalier, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson.

Yeah, don’t ask me about “Boobie.” My folks used to call my baby brother “Boom Boom” and for the life of me we never knew why.

In any event, Keyshia reportedly delivered her baby early yesterday. Friend and fellow singer Monica confirmed that Keyshia was in labor but now it’s known that she’s delivered her baby boy.

As for Keyshia’s frame of mind, she’s focused…and ready to start a new life sans the family drama.

The homies Keyshia Cole and Daniel “Boobie” Gibson her fiance had their baby earlier this morning. Keyshia is in good sprits and is so happy its over and the baby is here.

I was told by my sources that she is ready to start a new life and will be taking off a little time for her baby boi. O ya if yall are wondering she is almost done with her new album which might be out in October . The Album tells us everything she had been going threw.

Keyshia and Boobie are with their family in Cleveland, OH.

Hopefully that new album is back to a more soulful and R&B-heavy tip. I thought the last album was alright, but you could tell she was shooting for a more “mainstream” sound.

Keyshia Cole confirms that she no longer speaks with her mother, sisters.

In it’s about time news, Keyshia Cole has realized a press release confirming what’s been rumored for months now: She’s cut off her family.

Indeed, shortly after announcing that she was pregnant, Keyshia Cole discovered that her mother Frankie was on Atlanta radio telling people that her daughter in fact was already married and that her upcoming child wasn’t a bastard.

This from a woman with a litter of kids and not a one marriage certificate, mind you. So in order to settle things once and for all Keyshia released the following statement:

To all my friends and fans – It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online.

Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It’s very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it’s not what I need at this time in my life. Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that’s happening in my life and that’s me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies.

Keyshia Cole’s boyfriend is rumored to have proposed recently.

THE SPIN
When word got out that Keyshia Cole was knocked up by boyfriend and pro baller, Daniel Gibson, a number of people across the Web hissed in the notion that yet high another high profile black celebrity will become an unmarried mother.

Well, now that she’s allegedly getting married does that make it better?

The YBF has the word on the rumored engagement from the jeweler who designed Keyshia’s ring:

First, the previously released statement that the engagement took place in Houston, Texas is FALSE. It actually went down in Cleveland New Years Eve at midnight.

The Jason of Beverly Hills team rushed the order and Jason personally hand delivered the ring to Daniel just hours before the proposal. It was meant to be a huge surprise and Daniel pulled it off seamlessly.

And her own BFF, Monica has already let the secret out as well:

Monica also confirmed via Twitter that Keyshia will be having a boy.
