IS THE OLD MARY J. BLIGE BACK?

THE FACTS
A rep for Mary J. Blige denies claims the singer argued and punched her husband last week.

THE SPIN
Numerous sources claimed that last Tuesday Mary J. Blige became so upset with her husband last week that she took a swing at him.

Why was she pissed? Depends on who you’re asking.

Initially, people said Mary was mad Kendu Isaacs threw her brother out of her album release party following a fight between the two. Others are now saying she was mad Kendu was flirting with a waitress there.

A source claims Blige told him, “You’re not going to ruin my night.”

And then as the two exchanged words Mary slapped or punched Kendy and said, “What are you gonna do… Chris Brown me?”

Here’s video of the incident in question:

I don’t know, folks. Doesn’t look like she was reaching for his face to caress him in a special lovey dovey moment.

However, if you go by her rep everyone is blind…and a liar.

A publicist for the no more drama claiming singer told the New York Post:

“People lie and don’t know what they’re talking about. They’re as happy as can be. They’re spending the holidays together with their three children. Everything’s great.”

Ya’ll get that? They’re fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine…woo!

Now which one of you out there actually believes that?

I will say this, though: To those of you out there hoping it’s true for the sake of getting another “My Life” out of Mary – ya’ll ain’t right!

IS K-CI STILL USING DRUGS?

THE FACTS
Video of an erratic K-Ci Hailey hits the Web.

THE SPIN

I grew up loving Jodeci so it’s kind of sad to see Mr. Oooh Yeah himself looking like a walking D.A.R.E. ad.

I’m not sure if his brother JoJo is blind or sharing the pipe, but isn’t it obvious K-Ci is a couple of hits away from flying into orbit…or an overdose?

As it turns out, some people in his circle are trying to help him out but as they say (they being folks who sit on stoops and spit knowledge and such) you can’t help anyone who doesn’t want to help themselves.

Freddy O has the word on the fam’s fight to aid Mr. Hailey:

I was told by a member of his family that they love him so much and want him to be Clean but he always acts like everything is ok and that he says he just likes to drink… I really hope he sees the big picture, an get the point what could happen, like with MJ and gets help…

That’s unfortunate. In the meantime, let’s start a prayer circle. But before we get into the prayers, let’s thank God that Mary J. Blige got away. I know some of you were thinking it, too.

BEYONCE LANDS TEN GRAMMY NOMINATIONS

THE FACTS
Grammy award nominations were revealed last night.

THE SPIN
If you haven’t learned by now this is Beyonce’s world and we’re all just jiggin’ and ordering Popeye’s biscuits in it.

Despite being a fan I honestly didn’t expect her to pull out so many nominations, but Beyonce cleaned up last night earning nominations in the three most prestigious categories: Album, Song, and Record of the Year.

She was nominated in seven other categories, while others like Maxwell, Keri Hilson, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, earning additional nods as well.

Noticeably absent is previous Grammy darling, Kanye West, whose last offering, “808s and Heartbreaks,” seems to have been overlooked. What a shame, because many people were taken aback by the new description, I didn’t find the album to be that bad.
