TIGER IS READY TO PUBLICLY APOLOGIZE

THE FACTS
Tiger Woods will make a public statement at the PGA headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida today.

THE SPIN

According to his agent, Mark Steinberg, Tiger is ready to “apologize for his behavior.”

Steinberg says, “Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates.”
But, he’s not ready to speak with the press probably because they would like to know what exactly was he thinking when he was swinging his personal golf club at every waitress he met.

A statement on Woods’ Web site elaborated:

“While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him. He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that’s what he’s going to discuss.”

In other words, he still doesn’t think it’s any of our business but because he’s the one responsible for the goody goody image he created to earn hundreds of millions in endorsements so he’s going to put on a somber look and get to begging corporations to throw their money back behind him.

Companies like AT&T and Accenture ended their business relationships with Woods following the crash and the exposure of his marriage troubles. However others, including Nike and Pepsi’s Gatorade, continue to sponsor Woods.

This will mark the golfer’s first public appearance since his November 27 car crash outside his home near Orlando, Florida and got the clap club back from his wife.

Speaking of his wife there’s no word on whether or not she’ll appear with him. If I were him, I’d hold off on Oprah to bring her out.

PAUL MOONEY ON KANYE, BEYONCE, OPRAH & PRES. OBAMA

THE FACTS
While promoting his new memoir, comedian Paul Mooney discussed Obama, Oprah, Beyonce, and Kanye in a radio interview.

THE SPIN
Paul Mooney is one of my favorite comedians. More times than not I agree with the gist of whatever sociopolitical commentary he’s giving, but in this recent interview I couldn’t help but think in some areas I was listening to a time warp.

Namely when he said Oprah is “Aunt Jemima with a degree.”

That’s just one of Mooney’s many musings in this interview.

He also called Kanye West his hero for scaring “that little country singer,” while referring to Beyonce as a “wild horse” for not allegedly being as gracious as she lets on.

“If she’s that Gracious why didn’t she do that with Etta James and that’s her peer,” Mooney claims.

He said black people are “sometime” in reference to how they treat their legends. I understand some people were upset with Beyonce for singing “At Last,” but this was at the request of the Obamas. They requested her, did they not? The song selection was also theirs I believe (although it was conveniently tied to Beyonce’s Cadillac Records).

Mooney also discussed the election of President Obama and what it means in the grand scheme of things (in short: not much).

Check out Mooney’s interview below and leave your own opinions in the comments section. Would love to hear your perspective on this.

CHRIS BROWN: ‘THE INDUSTRY CAN KISS MY A**’

THE FACTS
Chris Brown used his Twitter account to complain that his new album is being under stocked by major retailers.

THE SPIN
In yet another glowing example of why most celebrities need to delete their Twitter profiles, Chris Brown has lashed out at the retailing industry for what he feels is a blatant attempt to black ball him.

That of course, is the smartest thing a person with obvious anger issues should do. He comes across as a self-important smart aleck with false sense of entitlement.

Yeah, I said it.

I understand that he’s apologized – on several occasions. Some people don’t believe him. Such is life. Actions have consequences. Sometimes long-term. And honestly, maybe, just maybe his sales aren’t so high because unlike the last two go rounds he didn’t have a major crossover hit single flooding the radio. Maybe “the incident” has something to do with it.

Or perhaps someone should let him know that his ex-girlfriend – you know, the one he hit – isn’t really selling a lot of albums this time around either.

Oh and if you’re wondering, Chris Brown addressed people like me who dare not to not grovel at his impressive feet:
for the young fans.. honestly, sorry for all the cursing..
about 6 hours ago from mobile web

for those people who r constantly tweeting me wit bullshit.. hop off my ****.. ur life is pointless
about 6 hours ago from mobile web

Your life is pointless, eh? Anger management has taught him well. Look, based on what some fans have tweeted back to him he has a point. But, let your label handle it. Running off at the keystrokes on Twitter is only going to empower the very people he feels are out to get him.

So far this dude has talked slick about Oprah, BET, and now the people who hold the fate of his career in their hands. At this point he should be grateful he can show his face let alone release an album this year. But hey, maybe my life and this post are pointless, too.
