Gayle King denies rumors that she and Oprah are involved.

It’s been one of those rumors that never seen to go away. I could’ve sworn Gayle and/or Oprah have laughed about it before, but it seems they’re still being asked about it.
British newspaper The Metro caught up with Oprah’s BFF and asked her about the rumors for the umpteenth time.
She said:
“The thing [is], if we were gay, we would tell you. We would so tell you. We wouldn’t try to keep that a secret because there’s nothing wrong with being gay.When asked about the burning question, she quipped, “I love that question. That never bothers me because it’s so silly.”
So if we were, we would tell you. The truth of the matter is we’re not. It’s hard enough for me to get a date on a Saturday night as it is.
This isn’t a rumor I’m trying to continue to explore, but no there’s nothing, there’s nothing wrong with it.”
As I’ve told you many times I love and fear Oprah Winfrey…but more so fear. That said, if her best friend says she’s not gay, then she’s not gay.

This rumor has been around for years! Don’t really care if they are or not.
I think it is because it is hard for most people to believe that two women can be that close without it being plutonic only. Plus, why is Oprah hardly ever seen at functions with Steadman. She’s always with Gayle. Where is Gayle’s man?
They keep telling this same story….I will accept their advice on relationships when they get their lives straigthen out with their men, whoever they are!
From my understanding Gayle was married and her husband got tired of competing with Oprah. As far Oprah and Steadman I always believe that this was a relationship of convience for them both. How can you be with some one and you live in the guest house not in the home with her. Well who knows and at this point who really cares. I just find it interesting that this is something that keeps surfacing in the media and she is always on the defense.
No i do not belive this crap/why can’t to women who known each other since i belive in there twenties just be best friends.I have a freind just like that we are close i mean geez.& just cause you don’t see gayle running around with her man makes her gay.
Well we will never know unless they come out and tell us, I have a really close friend and no one ever thought we were gay, but thats because we both have men! now I still dont understand why Oprah doesnt really have a man, and no children, she has all that fame and money, who is she going to leave it to? Gayle? cmon we know steadman is just decoration, and as for Gayle, there is no reason for her to sit home on a sat night unless she wants to, I dont know, the rumor is hanging around for a reason…
People are so stupid. Whether they are a couple or not is not our business. Just because Oprah doesn’t have a man that we know doesn’t mean she is gay. Some people like to keep things on a down low. We don’t need to know her personal life. Stop with these rumors. If she is it’s okay and if not it’s still okay.

Why is this still an issue? Because the media keeps bringing it up. Was it such a pitifully slow news day, TvOne, that this nonsense had to be regurgitated?

I don’t think they are but if so, it’s really none of my business. I believe Oprah has a man, it’s gossiping Gail that is always looking for a partner.
Oprah has no children because after losing the one she had as a teenager (conceived through rape/molestation), I think she just never went down that road again, it’s understandable. Gail was married and has two children.
Really, I don’t like either one, now. I used to like O, never liked Gail. They have become old gossiping hags because their reporting is crap, like 95% of info today.
Don’t know. Don’t care. If they are gay, congratulations. If they are not gay, congratulations also.
Oprah and Gayle strike me in noway of being lesbians. I just think they enjoy each others friendships. They’re two successful woman and they can carry their own. Oprah and Gayle I’m pretty sure get their freak on with men they just keep their private lives out of the public. Especially, what Oprahs banking she could buy and sell men a dime a dozen. I believe the both of them are into men.
Who every is spreading this ugly gossip needs to be more focus more on their own sexuality and leave other peoples business alone.

As “thick” as Oprah and Gayle are I hope they’re not gay. that would mean real men still have a shot!
Only folks who have been blessed with a God sent Bestfriend such as myself can only laugh at such foolishness. I’m only 35 yrs old and have a bestfriend of 26 years. That’s called “Godsend”. We’re both married and they are my children’s God parents and when you’re grown and mature you can still have a fabulous marriage and bestfriend too! God bless you Gayle & Oprah!! Some folks have no idea how to have long lasting relationships of any sort!!
